Capture card with hdmi input. Hdmi adapter to hook up device. Plug capture card into Mac. Hit record.
Splurge for the capture card. It's worth it. I originally used the software solution, Reflector, for my iPhone/iPad captures and I wasn't happy with the result. It was a little choppy and the resolution wasn't great.
