It doesn't state that this is universal. Was that an oversight, or is it truly not universal? shyguy3 Well-Known Member Sep 18, 2010 628 0 0 #14 shyguy3, Apr 16, 2012 The developer stated that the game is NOT universal but will release an iPad version later this year. Regardless, this is probably the first non universal game I will buy in months. Gabrien Well-Known Member Nov 24, 2009 5,148 0 36 #15 Gabrien, Apr 16, 2012 Not universal. Also no retina. The game itself is...probably the closest we've seen to Mario on the iOS. Note, I am not qualifying that as either a good or a bad thing, mainly because of...the controls. Which are unfortunately pretty inadequate. The button placement, were I to summon all my resolve to be "nice," could be classified as "extremely odd." The D-Pad is too small, particularly in light of what it asks of you to accomplish, resulting in frequent "mis-taps" especially when trying to press up or down. Combined with the token slippy-slidiness and floatiness of the inertia, the overriding impression is of a game you wish you were playing instead of the one you are. sizzlakalonji Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze Apr 16, 2009 5,712 1 0 Indiana, USA #16 sizzlakalonji, Apr 16, 2012 That's a real shame, because to me the controls are crucial in a platformer like this. If the controls are that bad, I'll more than likely pass. Gabrien Well-Known Member Nov 24, 2009 5,148 0 36 #17 Gabrien, Apr 16, 2012 Bet you won't. Which is fine, because this has a lot of potential at face value, and for a buck it's worth finding out for yourself. Isn't that the main reason most of us own hundreds of games we never return to? retr0spective Well-Known Member May 24, 2011 915 17 18 Riverside, CA #18 retr0spective, Apr 16, 2012 Oh dear. Please don't tell me I'm going to have another rComplex experience with this - eager anticipation based upon a well-made trailer but ultimately disappointing experience. Perhaps the developer will be open to helpful suggestions. At the very least it's only a dollar, so I will try it out for myself. sizzlakalonji Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze Apr 16, 2009 5,712 1 0 Indiana, USA #19 sizzlakalonji, Apr 16, 2012 Yes.
