Figuring out the mechanics is a puzzle in itself but worth the time and effort. Highly entertaining and there looks to be much to unlock. I've got as far as rebuilding the dojo to learn some combos. Warning: contains energy timers and IAP which some viewers may find distressing. Stronsay Well-Known Member Aug 6, 2015 947 203 43 #6 Stronsay, Jul 20, 2017 The IAP menu is inside a building at the top right of screen. It can be unlocked when sufficient car parts have been collected. Doesn't seem possible to remove the timers though, and there is no telling if buying IAP would remove the ads. However the energy timer is no longer an issue. My fighter is now upgraded with more moves and combos, and, having learned how to time the defensive counter attacks, I'm not using up all the energy in one sitting. slamraman Well-Known Member Patreon Gold Aug 27, 2011 2,511 5 36 #7 slamraman, Jul 20, 2017 absolutely no real clue what I'm doing or what the point is, but by crikey, I'm enjoying every second. maxbrickem Well-Known Member Aug 25, 2009 327 0 16 #8 maxbrickem, Jul 20, 2017 wow this game is a lot of fun with a very very basic tutorial. can any confirm energy timer / ad IAPs? would def get those Stronsay Well-Known Member Aug 6, 2015 947 203 43 #9 Stronsay, Jul 20, 2017 I had no idea what was happening at first but it makes sense eventually. The point is to rebuild the town and then fly the helicopter to fight in other areas of the map. Restoring buildings requires car parts. Go to the scrapyard and quickly mash the red button to dismantle cars for the parts. Note for street fights: On opponents turn a blue or yellow star will appear briefly, so hit the blue of yellow button to use the defence shield. Delay hitting the button to make a counter attack. There is a video in the character's home that demonstrates this but it's not very clear. When the dojo is rebuilt then combos can be bought and used. Then keep going till the heliport is completed. xjaff Well-Known Member Sep 7, 2012 250 0 16 Male Toronto, Canada #10 xjaff, Jul 20, 2017 This. It's fun discovering as you go. chief78 Well-Known Member Jul 24, 2012 2,317 7 38 #11 chief78, Jul 20, 2017 Thanks for this. I finally figured out that u have to tap on the door of the scrapyard (scrap garage really) to go in and be able to smash a car for resources. So far it's taking 2 more fights for me to come back and be able to go street fighter 2 on a car. I am also having a blast with this game. There really is a trick to the timing to get a good counter attack, and I've gotten the hang of it. Now just looking at what combos I can unlock and continue progressing. I really wouldn't know how to define it other than to say it's good stuff people! #### se99jmk Well-Known Member Mar 1, 2010 300 16 18 #12 se99jmk, Jul 20, 2017 Definitely enjoying this one! One boss defeated, got sword which appears to be gaining experience... having one “foot” and one “hand” combo helps, especially with the visor which appears to be showing what mob is strong/weak against! Has anyone figured out the ‘secret’ location referred to in the App Store description? Have hit timers, yes, and there are things to purchase with diamonds, but doesn’t seem to have been a limiting factor so far! 7lilwhitewolf7 Well-Known Member Feb 1, 2012 3,129 15 38 Male Not hear on earth Georgia,Cleveland Ohio,Texas,New York #13 7lilwhitewolf7, Jul 21, 2017 #pow# xjaff Well-Known Member Sep 7, 2012 250 0 16 Male Toronto, Canada #14 xjaff, Jul 21, 2017 Are you referring to the line about the hidden room in the dojo? I thought that was refering to the second room in the dojo that has more scrolls for sale for diamonds only. maxbrickem Well-Known Member Aug 25, 2009 327 0 16 #15 maxbrickem, Jul 21, 2017 At some point, maybe when you unlock helicopter to fly around (don't know exactly when it appeared) you can click on the bottom right wooden doors when you are already inside the dojo, there you can learn super specialized skills, like throwing fire balls and lightning attacks etc, at the cost of gems. Solarclipse Well-Known Member Jul 30, 2012 879 64 28 #16 Solarclipse, Jul 21, 2017 I'm digging this and the timers aren't that big a deal, i can do other things. But I am wondering about those diamonds, is there any way to earn those I game alter or ar they a forever tease? I have eight energy now but following up one combo with another isn't working how I thought it would...I'm not sure if ''tis a new timing to figure out or a limitation, like I need longer combos. maxbrickem Well-Known Member Aug 25, 2009 327 0 16 #17 maxbrickem, Jul 21, 2017 From the main screen hit the left arrow at the bottom, that is an options or settings menu, on that screen, with enough progression, there will be other people sitting there that offer gems for watching videos and reviewing the game. There also was a dog who gave me a car part when i clicked on him. Apart from that I haven't seen much else for gems. chief78 Well-Known Member Jul 24, 2012 2,317 7 38 #18 chief78, Jul 21, 2017 Haven't gotten to 8 energy yet but i have found with 5 bars if I pull a PKPP(P) they will hit the side and then bounce back, allowing for the 5th attack...I would assume 6,7 and 8 are parry combos? This combo works the same with KPKK(K) ....I put the last input in parentheses because I can't confirm if hitting the 5th input is needed or the 5th attack happens automatically chief78 Well-Known Member Jul 24, 2012 2,317 7 38 #19 chief78, Jul 21, 2017 Seems like the gems are the only way to progress in this game....and by default, grt anything cool. I like supporting a dev but realistically it's $5 to get one or two things Solarclipse Well-Known Member Jul 30, 2012 879 64 28 #20 Solarclipse, Jul 21, 2017 Last edited: Jul 21, 2017 I haven't hit any wall yet. When you buy everything you can upgrade the buildings, and at the dojo I see skills that are five hits long now...I'm betting there's another set after these four. I had never tried the little glasses before that help you pin point weaknesses...kind of reminds me of forma8 go in how minimal the directions are...I also realized at home you can equip the defense and offensive upgrades to build up their rank...it seems to rank up by countering. I've done a little bit of grinding, but not much. Get the energy upgrades because when you build up the restaurant the new food gives much better experience. Update: the five hit combos cast a fireball, lightning, tornado, and I haven't gotten the fourth one yet but it's probably ice. When you use the glasses to scan the enemy you can see what they are weak to with a circle flashing, or strong against with the flashing x. All of these elements like the fire # lightning etc can be leveled up with usage. I would recommend getting fireball first or second, as you'll need it for the 2nd boss that is strong against regular kicks and punches. I've noticed that on the five hit combos the timing is easy but if you get the wrong rhythm you will miss it. Countering seems to be a matter of timing and dice roll. I do notice that at times I hit the wrong one and very quickly hit the right one, and it will count as a defense....nice that there is a little forgiveness in there . So yeah, no paywall, this is good. I don't think you need any of those diamond things. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
