I really like it and I hope they do one with league teams one day. Dailon80 Well-Known Member Nov 10, 2014 3,574 66 48 Program Director/Radio DJ Eos #11 Dailon80, Mar 18, 2016 Yes virtual buttons and to me way better than pixel soccer and none of that team is tired as hell after half a game so buy some crap IAP This is good stuff Mikiesque Well-Known Member Dec 7, 2013 203 0 16 #12 Mikiesque, Mar 18, 2016 Ok. Spent some time with this. It's nice little simple game of football. Has some new ideas and mechanics. Kudos for a premium title too. Overall i'm glad i supported the developers. They seem to be good bunch. Game itself has some decent moments. Gameplay is always fundamental in any game and here it's the strongest point. Your players are differentiated by hair colour (fair are strikers dark are defenders and in between are midfielsers). So the whole thing revolves around doing the right things with right type of players. Eg. Strikers are good at shooting but almost impossible in getting ball away. Defenders are other way around. Game is not easy and has number of settings you can choose - from slow/easy to slow/hard to fast/easy and fast/hard etc. Limited number of teams and modes makes this game a bit of short lived. Here's hope developers invest more time and take it to the next level. 3 stars so far. If anyone is looking for good ios football games then: 1. Active Soccer 2 is the absolute king closely followed by SSC. 2. Player Manager 2016 - a proper rip-off of the original Dino Dinis Player Manager but not supported or endorsed by the master himsef. I find it hard to play on touch screen but it's great with the controller. Anyhow my 2 cents for what its worth. djstout Well-Known Member Jul 21, 2011 2,673 99 48 Sportscaster & football (soccer) coach Taiwan & Japan #13 djstout, Mar 19, 2016 The game is pretty decent, not the best but not the worse. But Japan and Korea only one star??? Dev please that's a joke, 2 maybe but one? Otherwise correct gameplay and good graphics. I like it and I'll keep playing it until we finally get SSC 16, Active Soccer 2 Deluxe and Pixel Soccer 2! dadiduekappa Well-Known Member Jun 6, 2010 474 0 16 Software Architect Napoli, Italy https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/id611729886 #14 dadiduekappa, Mar 19, 2016 Just noticed it. Very good!!! Thank's atchoo Well-Known Member Patreon Bronze Oct 20, 2015 681 0 0 Bassano del Grappa #15 atchoo, Mar 19, 2016 Could you play with a MFi controller? Uprising Elton Well-Known Member Oct 6, 2009 1,172 63 48 #16 Uprising Elton, Mar 19, 2016 I'd not seen this either so just tried it. It doesn't have the trap mechanic of real kick off, so despite the authentic looks with the permission of Steve Screech, it doesn't play like it. (Definitely seems to use ripped sounds too?) Nice effort, but a bit lacking. And had I known the original sprites were available I'd have chased them for original SSC! Mikiesque Well-Known Member Dec 7, 2013 203 0 16 #17 Mikiesque, Mar 19, 2016 Trap mechanic is in there - if by this you mean holding a button before touching a ball and then releasing the button to pass it. This move is switched off in EASY control options. You must use NORMAL or HARD to be able to trap the ball. Uprising Elton Well-Known Member Oct 6, 2009 1,172 63 48 #18 Uprising Elton, Mar 19, 2016 I tried normal mode and it seemed to be in there but very inconsistent, and wasn't able to do it at all while dribbling? I'm sure you can do that in KO1 and 2? I need to get my emulator on Mikiesque Well-Known Member Dec 7, 2013 203 0 16 #19 Mikiesque, Mar 19, 2016 Yeah especially with touch controls it's difficult to pull off consistently. Anyways your implementation in SSC is fantastic and by far more fun. In that video of SSC 16 you posted recently - new sprites and physics looked amazing but looking again now it seems like you tweaked the passing mechanics too... Is that fair to say? Uprising Elton Well-Known Member Oct 6, 2009 1,172 63 48 #20 Uprising Elton, Mar 20, 2016 Yeah, there's more tweaks than I can even remember at the moment as it was all done earlier last year now. The new physics was derived from the work I did for Tennis and is a pretty accurate model now. The passing in terms of AI, where it's passing to and how it runs onto the ball was all completely new. Still a fair bit of work to do on it I'm afraid though! (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
