Hi

Thanks for starting this thread.

I am the programmer of iDamaged.

I submitted an update to Apple which is in review now.

In the update the fire button is gone completely and you press and slide to aim and shoot. You can sell back weapons/upgrades, the shield is more visible when it is turned on, the mines take only 2 minigun hits instead of 10 to kill and also added new option to show or not show instructions when you pick up 2ndary weapons and a few minor other fixes and changes.

So far the game has sold around 420 times, thanks to all the ones who got it!

Also there is a Lite version which has been submitted to Apple with limited functionality and content.

As for the 2nd update, currently I am looking into supporting 60Beat's new gamepad which I am in talks with them now:
http://toucharcade.com/2011/12/29/60...like-a-winner/
Aswell as any bugfixes and possibly another level (though so far less than 10% of players completed the first level and less than 2% finished all existing levels, so maybe have to dumb down the game even more)

If you would like to see any other things use the Feedback button in lower left corner of the main menu of the game and let me know through that as I don't follow all forum posts all the time.

Well wishing everyone a happy new year while I'm at it

cheers
Nils

The update v1.01 was approved by Apple in and is now available on the AppStore, it contains:
  • touch to aim aswell as shoot
  • selling back weapons
  • more informative help screen
  • instruction popups when collecting 2ndary weapons (can be disabled in options)
  • robot is more visible when the shield is turned on as some people thought this was a bug when the robot became invisible on low brightness settings
  • mines take only 2 minigun hits to kill instead fo 10
  • few other minor changes

As for the 2nd update, this will contain easy/medium/hard modes and support for the 60Beat gamepad, waiting for that in the post and code is ready just need to test and tweak some values

here's my feedback on the lite version (on ipad1).

the textures seem too blurry/low quality
the bot moves a bit too quickly
bot should turn around when moving left/back and aiming reticule should be moved to the left side, even when using aiming finger on the right side. probably some logic with absolutes/negatives for mirrored positioning?

nice audio though.

If this were higher resolution and some aspects had a bit more polish (walking speed, explosions, some sounds) I'd buy it in a heartbeat, maybe for a sequel?

I didn't mind the controls, made perfect sense to me.
