(No options??!) - screen rotate does work but is temperamental - load game asks for sector zero draft yes / no with no explanation - game starts and no tutorial - help available as text screens (and it does highlight bits of the UI at points) - UI looks shiny, but it not a good UX - cards can only be viewed in full size with a constant press so get used to holding a lot. Also card design has a transparency layer which I don't think would pass any accessibility test anywhere in the world! Often elements behind the card will make it very diffcult to read the card or view numbers, so you end up moving the elements and reopening card....silly. - no save games.... Closed app = lost game. At least background doesn't seem to lose game. So while the app needs work, and UI could do with some revisions the game mechanics seem solid. I've not finished a game cause I'm still working everything out, so burning through some rounds and restarting... I think it could be OK once I've worked it all out, but it's not exactly helpful! currymutton Well-Known Member Oct 16, 2008 4,430 1 0 #19 currymutton, Apr 1, 2016 Last edited: Apr 1, 2016 Before I get words from TA admins, I better merge two guys back into one first... To be fair, after playing a few games and go back to read the help text, things are getting clearer. (And hehehehe, yup no Option!) The help screen actually highlights parts of the UI and explains the bits and pieces quite clearly but you need to wire all the parts together inside your head. So that is where a tutorial or at least a video should come in. You can play against up to 4 AI opponents. And you can check their moves even though you cannot watch them in form of animation. As fro the Sector 0 Draft thing: Sector is the place where you see cards rotating around a circle thing. Every 2 turns the game progresses into another sector where the "cards" get more and more expensive. And Sector 0 is the place where you can freely draft a card from the sector into you deck. Each player takes turn to draft their first card and then the sequence reverse where the last player drafts his/her second card and all the way back to the first player. Hope it helps. Edit: second thought, to be fair with XenoShyft and game actually has some potentials, I am not putting it up for refund. skoptic Well-Known Member Apr 3, 2015 634 82 28 #20 skoptic, Apr 1, 2016 Yup OK... After 24 hours, it's a good game so I won't refund. It takes a while to work out all the idiosyncrasies, but the app has promise. Sadly the AI has been so weak that I have romped home to 2 victories of 25 - 2 and 23 - 6. This sadly won't keep me playing as its no challenge (and I play most games on easy or normal, I'm no strategic genius). If they can up the AI, add options, add multiplayer - it'll be great. It's still worth supporting as the I've seen worse for around £5... (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
