I hope they finally announce it. Just so I don't have to keep wondering about the tech specs and how iPhone games are going to convert over.
Just once I'd like them to say "Yes, it's the new iPod/iPhone/iTablet". Rumors have been circling for a year, it's pretty damn obvious.
Seems possibly. Not getting my hopes up. 1) It may be a false alarm. 2) Either way, I'm not getting one for a while. I want one, don't need one.
I'm desperately trying to keep my bank balance up until I find out if I want it or not... if I don't I can start buying apps again.
This is what I think we're going to see: iTablet or iSlate or MacPad - 7 inch OLED display - Internal hardware specs on par with the current lowest end MacBook - Development tools available as soon as the presentation ends including iPhone app conversion tools - Deals in place with a number of book, newspaper and magazine publishers to add content to the iTunes store and undercut the E-Reader market - A dock that contains USB and Firewire 2 ports but costs at least $60 extra - OS X 10.7 with a new UI for touchscreen devices that will be reflected in the next version of the iPhone and iPod Touch firmware as well
What do we think about connectivity between the tablet and iPhones? Any cool or useful possibilities there?
I'd assume that they'd have Bluetooth connectivity like the iPod Touch. I dunno what kind of possibilities that might present, though.
How exactly do you want the devices to interact with each other? I'm sure they'll be able to share files over a home network somehow. As far as sharing the internet connection I'm hoping you'll just be able to drop a cloned SIM card in the thing and use your AT&T account.
