Don't know the two you mention, so I cannot comment with your taste in mind. In terms of "playing a role", King of Dragon Pass is the absolute champion on iOS: you are the chief of a Celtic-inspired tribe and need to lead them to survival and eventually form a clan. Interface is more like a strategy game. All your actions have consequences. If you're open for a different experience, go for it. Other than that, you have quite the selection by now, depending on what you prefer, e.g.: Baldur's Gate 1&2 SW:KOTOR The Spiderweb games (Avadon, Avernum series) Gamebooks (lots of them) Chaos Rings series Search a bit for threads with "good RPG" or such in the title. Baldur's Gate 1-2 for sure; the extra content is garbage but it's what got the game an iOS release so... Of course you could just play these and all the other Infinity Engine games on iOS with GemRB.
