I wanted to try this out but the 5.99$ was a little high for me. David1953 Well-Known Member May 26, 2013 473 38 28 #3 David1953, Aug 30, 2013 I gave some thought to picking this one up after seeing this thread, but after reading one of the reviews on the App Store saying that you need a Facebook account to even save your game, I decided to pass. I hope this trend to require FB in some games is not be a future trend. awp69 Well-Known Member Oct 30, 2009 8,249 0 36 Greenville, SC #4 awp69, Aug 30, 2013 This is not true. FB is required for leaderboards but not game saves. Highly recommend this game. Although there was a lot of debates in the main thread, especially regarding the original controls (that have since been updated to include a relative touch option, I consider this to be one of the best shmups on the App Store. I'll see if I can dig up the post... Edit: well I can't find it with a quick search and I'm not skimming that whole mess of a thread, so never mind I guess. Someone said it was different but it was confusing and I have no idea if it was accurate. Anyway, I would definitely recommend the game. Controls are decent, visuals are excellent. But now might be a good time! David1953 Well-Known Member May 26, 2013 473 38 28 #7 David1953, Aug 30, 2013 The review that I read was at the very top on the App Store. My interests are simply single player, and I am not into the leaderboard thing. I don't have a FB account at the present time. somedumbgamer Well-Known Member May 4, 2013 709 0 0 #8 somedumbgamer, Aug 30, 2013 I'm in the same boat...not into multiplayer or fb. This game is great... My only complaint is the letterbox display. Get it awp69 Well-Known Member Oct 30, 2009 8,249 0 36 Greenville, SC #9 awp69, Aug 30, 2013 There's a message when you first start the game that makes it sound like FB is required for saves and maybe, as Royce says, it works differently. But I never logged into FB and had no problems at all with the game saving. So think you'd be good to go if you don't care about leaderboards. Well, first good news on the iCade front, we got icade to be put into Sine Mora!!! Woo hoo!!! Expect it in a future update. Now, this is a game that you have to play on HDMI. Not only does it have some of the smoothest boss animations on ios, but since the screen only displays on about 1/2 the screen on an ipad, HDMI is where it is at! As you can see in my screenshots, there is a HUGE difference in screen space on the TV vs my ipad 3. So much so, that it is shocking. Now, with icade support and HDMI, well, this game will totally rock. If you notice here, I am using the most zoomed in version of my TV zoom capability. With that, it uses about 3/4 of my TV screen without losing anything, and keeping the correct aspect ratios. Also, if you have an ipad 3, turn off screen shake, for pretty good framerates playing on TV. And crank the sound up real loud cause with this setup, it plays really well. Highly recommend trying out HDMI and icade on Sine Mora. This will be the new standard in ipad games in the future, full console support. Awesome TV support for games like this which use borders, and awesome joystick support which the developer states, he will add in Apple joystick support in the future. Coolness. somedumbgamer Well-Known Member May 4, 2013 709 0 0 #14 somedumbgamer, Aug 30, 2013 That looks amazing! I must be doing something wrong because I'm not able to get HDMI to display on my entire 52" screen. No matter what I output from my iPad, the screen has grey bars...unless I set the tv to zoom, but then the sides are cut off short.
