I have no choices except to make the fu**ing move. So I crash and I'm out of the race. I tried braking but that didn't help. So from the time I rolled the goddamn dice it was predetermined that I'd crash and be out of the race. So what the f**k am I supposed to do in that situation? Is there any goddamned way to recover?
Ok. It's a 2-stop corner. You stop once. Good. On your next move and attempt to make the 2nd stop, you go aggressive and roll a high number. Whoops! When you go to move your car, it's going to subtract tire wear for each space beyond the border of the corner, since you are supposed to stop a second time. That's the penalty. Any move that will result in losing your last tire point will give you the warning that you will spin out.

You can use brakes, and that will effectively lower the die result so that you don't have to miss the corner by as much, thus lowering the wear on your tires.

If you don't make that second stop in a 2-stop corner, you must pay the penalty. If your die roll is so high that you end up using all your wear points, then you are doomed from the moment the die is cast. This is what happens when you choose too high a gear for the number of spaces you have left in the corner to make that 2nd and final stop. To always avoid this, simply never roll in a gear that may result in overshooting by more spaces than your tires and brakes can handle. Of course if you do this, then you aren't pressing your luck and might fare worse against opponents who do press theirs and succeed.

Aim your car to the pits. Achieve a die roll that allows you to pull alongside your car in the pits and then in to your car's space. There's no speed limit or penalty for overshooting, so go as fast as possible. When you enter your car's pit, what happens then is determined randomly by an invisible die roll. Depending on result of this invisible die roll, it can be a super fast pit or a slow one. It appears that you can get new tires, and maybe some more fuel in a longer pit. The advance game even lets you add to various things if you succeed with the proper die roll.

This invisible die roll is the source of much confusion in the game. The developer really needs to make the app give some kind of in-game indication that the outcome is random. If not, then it should at least be explained in the rules. People who are playing this app without a familiarity with the print game rules are really going to be confused. And for those who do have familiarity with the print game, it's still a pretty annoying interface decision.

Seeing how little activity there is on the free track, are there people here who bought more tracks and actually can get some games going?

Thanks for the reply.
But do you find opponents to play against?

Not many. I can create a races for a total of two or three players. But if I try for a total of 4 players I end up waiting forever for the 4th player to join.

Default Forced to do an extra lap????

Hi,

I am a big fan of Racer Feud but I have just been a victim of what appears to be a very very annoying bug. Indeed, on a "2 lap race [advanced]" at Sepang, I crossed the finish line first at the end of lap 2. The game didn't tell me I finished (which was weird). Instead I had a 'Please try again later". Eventually the game said that I was on lap 3, before it was my turn again (WTF! it's a 2 lap race). Then, it forced me to play again. Now, I am currently down to second place, one lap behind the promoted leader, and restarting my last lap... again!!!

What did i do wrong? Has to be a nasty bug, right? I did not find any rules making players redo a lap.

PS: In this case, my opponent 'tamannen', was fairplay and did quit the race before crossing the finish line himself. He had enough lives left to finish, meaning he must have recognised the situation. He sacrificed his deserved second place so that I had chance to finish first as expected. again... FairPlay!

Thumbs down Buggy again

Woke up this morning to find that Racer Feud has had a major update. So I installed it AGAIN. But after trying to set up a few races I gave up on this game again and deleted it for about the 10th time. To find out why...try to setup a Game Center race with TWO random opponents ...you'll get nine. Selecting ONE random opponent is OK though. But not two.

I wanted to like this game so much and have given it about 10 chances but I've now completely lost confidence is this game as I think the developer is incapable of making a game without major flaws.
