Not worried about being an early adopter. You think i'd worry about $3? Im worried about the game's sales, why the devs decided to drop this down to free. mrbiggles Well-Known Member Jul 3, 2012 3,691 0 0 Like retired USA #11 mrbiggles, Oct 27, 2012 ? There's no ads in game, they don't have a big library to self promote, IAP isn't required (although I do hope people who download for free buy something). Think it was a bit early for a freebie personally, a 50% sale would have been enough to get a few people off the fence. jeffyg3 Well-Known Member Mar 22, 2010 1,251 0 36 #15 jeffyg3, Oct 27, 2012 I was really interested when I saw this game and was about to get it at launch, but truth be told I didn't buy it when I found out it had cash based IAP...I almost always never support games that have this crappy kind of IAP. I'm entering the 5th world/area and the gameplay mechanics is kind of fun, but even on the hardest difficulty I'm finding it WAY too easy. Getting bored of it actually...where's the challenge? Is the game supposed to get tougher? I'm feeling glad I didn't pay for it...don't think I really want to continue the game. Hmm, a little too easy Vigram Well-Known Member Jul 1, 2011 216 0 0 Sri Lanka #16 Vigram, Oct 27, 2012 That's what i thought too. Using the knife is way too easy and it kills everything with one hit. Rip73 Well-Known Member Nov 18, 2011 4,399 0 0 #17 Rip73, Oct 27, 2012 There's further levels of difficulty other than the standard one, it does get more challenging later on and obviously if you change the difficulty level. Its a pity it had to go free. I'd guess its to boost its exposure and to increase the number of reviews it has on the App Store. It is a great game and well worth downloading at the original price never mind free, so I recommend every body try it out and leave a decent few stars review for it on the App Store. First, obscure ios gamers, like quite a few senior members at TA, are by far in the minority of ios users. Second, even amongst us, momory can be short. With new games being constantly released, it can be nearly impossible remembering the great games you've missed out on. I myself often suffer "late adopter syndrome". I rarely buy the newest releases (been burned too often) unless they're completely mind blowing. I often buy games I missed from a year ago. Often, a game will go on sale or go free right after I buy it. Hell, Sky Gamblers dropped in price 4 bucks THREE HOURS after I bought it. And I still haven't installed it. In the meantime, the majority of people who play games on ios miss most small studio limited time freebies anyway, so it's a good way to to get the game's name back out there. MidianGTX Well-Known Member Jun 16, 2009 3,738 10 38 #19 MidianGTX, Oct 27, 2012 Really wasn't digging this one. It's a pretty skin over what felt like a fairly basic game. When it comes to old school side scrollers I think you kinda need that level variation every single stage otherwise it starts to feel artificially lengthy. By the fourth stage I was just going through the motions and the excitement was flailing. You are the bane of the digital bad guys. You are the reaper among pixelated evildoers. Your skillz make all games shit. I envy you. Really. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
