Ninjas hate fruit! I'm very proud to announce that Fruit Ninja is in the final stages of development and will be released for the iPhone soon! The game is all about slicing up fruit with your blade, done by swiping your finger across the screen. It's kind of G-Rated gore, with splattery slashes of juice and chunks of fruit flying everywhere! Fruit Ninja is a high score style affair, and we proudly use the Openfeint platform for all your achievements / global leaderboards needs. We had great feedback from our beta testers (you know who you are) and they really helped polish the game up to its final quality! Thanks guys! Be sure to check out our trailer below, I think its probably one of the most... unique iPhone game trailers to date! Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel Also, if anyone here wants a preview copy for early review purposes, or more information / press releases / whatever, get in touch with me via PM. I'm also more than happy to answer any questions anyone may have! http://www.fruitninja.com http://www.twitter.com/fruitninja Cheers! Luke Muscat
Thanks for the kind words about the trailer guys! We are really trying to do something different and stand out from the crowd with this one
heh. Since I was a beta I have a pretty good knowledge of Fruit ninja and can probably anwser some questions about it.
This looks pretty interesting. Any price point? Also What is the goal, cut as much as you can in a time limit or is it something like you can't miss any fruit?
Well first of all you have unlimited cuts, but if you let a fruit rise and fall passing the itouch or phone border you loose a life. And you have 3 lives. Thankfully for every hundred fruit sliced you missed count goes down. So yes, you can't miss any fruit.
Hey guys, Phil here - working on Fruit Ninja along with Muscat! Price point is, as the recent announcement states - "a juice-inducing 99 cents". Does 99 cents induce juice within you?
Thanks! We ended up spending a chunk of time trying to get it right, so glad to hear that you like it
Thanks for the kind words all. We are submitting today, with the release date set for the 21st, so fingers crossed! Just as an extra thing for all you Touch Arcaders, I thought I would post up a photo or two of us working on the trailer itself. Pictured here is actually our programmer for the game... Let me know if you want more horrifying photos from the deep dark underbelly that is game developers creating trailers.
