I couldn't find a thread about it, looks interesting.

It's in unfinished state (the project is still only a few weeks into development). Rocking Pockets Games says that "is an RPG like GTA IV with quests. You’ll have your apartment as a home base, different shops to purchase items and weapons. You’ll have to explore and complete quests to get cash.”

No release date or ETA has been set.

The concept of this appeals to me greatly, I'm a HUGE fan of zombie games, especially first person ones. My only concern though is the controls as for the game to succeed and not be frustrating, there'd need to be a good control method put in place. The game is barely coming to fruition yet, so I'll wait and see what the devs decided to put in the game. I'll be watching this one closely!

GTA in Zombie-infected land as setting? that's insane!
i hope it'll have thrid-person mode and the city is free roam with cars to use and less human pedestrian and lots of zombies! :D

    Hi guys,

The game could go in a different direction at this point. Would you like a GTA style game, something similar to Left 4 Dead, or a linear story like Zombie Infection?

My original idea is that you would have an apartment and the main street would contain shops for guns, health, and other upgrades. As you venture away from the main street you can visit other locations with specific quests. You would get new quests from some key person on the main street.

We need a good Left 4 Dead type game, I'm actually surprised Gameloft hasn't jumped on this already.

How about something more or less linear, but open and branching - like Deus Ex or Vampire Bloodlines?

Theres definitely a lot of potential.

I know its a work in progress but those weapons look kind of out of place when paired with the gritty nature of the game. They look to boxy and clean.

Are there any plans for multi player?

The game looks really good graphically. I would say it is second only to the unreal engine.
RPG Guy, May I suggest that you change the zombies to animals and change the location to outdoors.
Kind of like a game with a hunting theme.

It has been done once, but coming from you, it should be a greater experience in every way. :)

Looks fantastic. A fully fledged FPS zombie game will make a killing in the Appstore, and this already looks amazing. Only thing i didn't quite get was the music. Are you planning this to be a true horror game or a fun Duke Nukem type romp?

Also, is the game engine your own?

A more open, sandbox type world like GTA would be cool I think.

I've decided to make a survival shooter for now. It's a difference of 6 months vs 1 month of development time. I may still do the story/GTA type game with the same engine and art later once the engine is all perfected. I'd prefer to do a fun fast shooter than a slow moving one like RE4.

Yes, the engine is mine. The music is temporary at this point.

Release date? When it's done of course :) It's impossible to predict that so early.
