Volumetric lighting and shafts (lights volumes that collides with the scene) added to the rendering system. Exactly the same as in Alan Wake. In fact mines is 100% percent accurate as i make the volume blend with the shadows (instead of having both effects separated as in normal cases). Sorry Remedy. ^^ I didn't forgot, the video will be there soon. Tanks for being patient.
Maybe you should make your special effects in app purchases SSAA 0.99 Volume shadows 1.99 FXBlur 2.49
It's planned to be build-in. The only stuff we would sell as IAP would be future content. By the way, isn't volume shadows, it's shadowmapping and volumetric unified lighting. Cheers,
Don't give Gameloft any ideas. Or you could have an energy system with energy drinks and such. So many steps taken, items picked up and shots fired = energy depleted. You can get more energy by waiting a day, watching a few ads or an IAP. Another great IAP system TA gamers would love is some sweet dual currency. We earn cash by killing monsters and use the cash to buy ammo for all sorts of guns at the shop (which is available in the pause menu) with gems we buy every other gun - chainsaws, nuclear warheads, machine guns, all sorts of weapons you would expect to find in a survival horror game. In the same way, your health won't regenerate but uses health packs - available with gems at the pause menu. And always at the top of the screen we will have gem, cash and energy indicators and a little banner ad above that. Oh and speaking of ads, while the game loads we will watch an ad - helps the loading time pass. See? Perfect pricing model!
Sarcasm, all that SARCASM!! I can't take it anymore!!!! On topic: I'm glad to see that you made the light beam more realistic. The one in the video was too narrow and too bright.
Picspicspics Anyone can stick a few random pictures up. This "game" that's been in developemnt since the dawn of man should at least have videos of it to show ( like you promised aaaaaaaaaaages ago) Anyone can make a few pictures but the proof will be in the pudding , or video if you haven't any pudding
Well, it had two videos - 40 min and ~7 min don't forget that it's not the project "screens only lol" p.s. oh screens are pretty dark again
Well if any one can do that, lets see the screens of your project. You obviously believe you know better how to develop a game so lets see it. Or maybe just quit trolling.
Bug fixes and minor improvements are always free. What i mean by "future updates" is if we develop extra playable content like additional/parallel chapters with new levels, characters, quests, etc. The game already comes with multiple endings and extra content to unlock when you finish the game. Cheers,
say NO to iap! i'd better pay for "ultimate edition" with all content included or several apps Great! That's how true survival horror games are made!
Haiz.... so, the fact that the mods deleted your previous comments doesn't give you a hint? Trolling is bad. Just think about it for a minute, tatoforever is here, replying to us, giving us more details about a game that "doesn't exist" according to you.... yeah, makes sense, because marketing a game that will never be released is very profitable... you can build a career on that... I was addressing to the "we're used to get free updates herp derp". Iap is not always bad, as long as it's substantial, this is one case.
Well, I guess a "season pass" idea like TWD and AC3 would be an interesting idea. But I and pretty much everyone I know here have absolutely zero problem paying for more content. The issue is when the game is skewed so that, say, you buy weapons/ammo with coins and the coin drops are low to encourage an IAP, or something like Gameloft's Wild Blood which was very IAP heavy. A grey area is cheats - extra life, maps, etc. I personally would like to see those as IAP AND unlockables after you complete the game on a certain difficulty or do something special like go through the game using only a pistol. Let us access all content without IAP, but for the player who wants quick access allow him to pay.
