"5 Stars. Its an addictive, quick, frustrating, catchy, hypnotic, evil rhythm game." - Cult of Mac

"It's simple and simply sadistic. Lumena is a good addition to the family of simple but brutally hard games that includes things like Super Hexagon" - IndieGames.com

"Lumena is easy to learn and enjoy and it is wake-up-the-neighbors difficult." - Pxlbyte.com

Playing Lumena is EASY. Fling the colored disc toward a matching colored light. Succeeding at Lumena is... NOT EASY. Youve been warned.

I love rhythm games, but hate ones with nonsense in so I'll definitely be checking this out.

Seriously? This is getting overlooked?!

Lumena is great. It's a rhythm-based twitch game and the soundtrack is awesome. Basically each level task you with flinging a colored disk to hit the similarly colored lights surrounding you. The lights and patterns move to beat and the gameplay is a mix of learning the music, timing, and twitchy speed as a timer counts down as well. The color of your disk changes randomly so you need to pay attention and stay focused

The controls are simple and responsive and the game is tough, but the star here is the music. Headphones are a must for Lumena

Ehhh, unfortunately I don't really like it.

The killer for me is very simple: I have to fling the ball at the walls around the side, but When I first play a song I have no way of knowing when those walls are going to change to a new pattern. You just have to trial and error until you learn all the phases of a song. It's not so much the fact that the patterns change, but just that you don't know when it's going to happen.

You build up a rhythm and start doing well, then you fling then ball and a wall suddenly disappears on you because it's changed pattern.

Maybe some sort of visual countdown display to let you know it's going to change would help?

Also, when I game over I would prefer to start from the beginning of the song again.
