I've been meaning to post this for a long time, pretty much ever since League of Evil came out. I have this problem with my iPod 4G where when I touch the screen simultaneously with two fingers (at the exact same time), the action the character carries out is slightly delayed. For instance, in League of Evil, when I touch the Move Arrow and the B Jump button at the same time and hold them, the character will stand there for half a second before jumping. However, if I start running THEN press and hold Jump, he jumps immediately. This problem also occurs in The Blocks Cometh, Soosiz, and other platforming type games. It's quite annoying. I just played both of these games on my iPod 2G and there are NO lag issues, so this is a problem only my 4G experiences.
That is a strange problem, Im assuming that restarting the device did no good. Have you tried doing a complete restore? I know not the funnest thing to do but might help your issue. Let me know if you can figure out the issue.
*Sigh... Alright, I thought it was going to come to this. I'm going to just "Restore". I'll post the results shortly....
I did a FULL Restore, right back to factory settings. Loaded up League of Evil and.....LAG!!! So far I have: Performed a Hard Reset on my iPod Deleted and reinstalled LeO Performed a Full Restore on my iPod Anyone have any other suggestions?!
Is it just games or does it happen when you use other apps too like safari or something else along those lines ?
never mind if your not jailbroken, I can't help you with restoring to old firmwares. Try the new 4.3 firmwares
I had the same issue and did a little research on internet i found that a guy named aaronn199 fixed it: I fixed the problem!! I was testing some more applications today, opened up a piano app. I tried to play 3 notes at once, then tapped the screen twice, and it zoomed in... i realised that i had enabled the zoom function in the accessibility options. So I turned this option off, went back into the app, and now.. NO MORE LATENCY ISSUES!!! Settings > General > Accessibility > Zoom > OFF try this out guys, hopefully it solves your problems too! long story short: it says that you have to disable the 3 fingers zoom function in settings it did fixed my lag issue with games, so no more zoom for me i hope this helps, because i just registered to post this xD
Thanks. NoVa 2 had the same lag when I play multiplayer and I didn't realized that the zoom thing affects it. Now, I'm blastin' again.
HOLY CRAP, Nathand - I LOVE YOU!!! (well, not actually, but i really appreciate your post) This means a LOT to me to have this issue resolved, as it had been deeply bothering me that my iPod 2G had less lag than my iPod 4G As soon as I turned off ZOOM, I opened up League of Evil and noticed the lag was gone IMMEDIATELY!!! Thank you SOO much!
