Hi Tomek.

There is a 2 player board if you've got one friend with you. Also, there are AI players that you can play against. In the end, though, you're right that it's a lot more fun when you've got a bunch of friends around to play.

This type of gameplay can be summarized with three words: Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.

It would be so much better if the "ball" had much more momentum, and the players got one "shot" every second (no aggregation). This would introduce tactics, precision and timing - instead of relying on frequency and perseverance.

Here's a blog post about the approach I took to trying to encourage strategy in Ring Fling. I actually did try to implement timed ring refresh, but it became completely impossible to defend if people ganged up on you. I do think the trailer that I made does give the game a bad rap in that sense.
