There's already a thread on this in the Upcoming Games section... But anyway, glad to hear more info. May I ask how soon is soon?
Dude, what you have in that facebook page is so cool, are they for the iphone version of Crimson Gem? I'm already folloing you in twitter, please let me know when will the game be out. thanks
Mod please move this to the upcoming games section. @the Dev: what the price is going to be? Following @portionfofox.
From the looks of those screenshots (quite stunning), I am also wondering what the price will be. Do you have a price range in mind?
As was mentioned in the other thread, this is a port of a PSP Korean-made JRPG that garnered a combined critics score of 7.7/10. IGN gave it an 8.4 (though, to be fair, GameSpot called it "mediocre.") In any event, this will a major RPG for the App Store, up there with Chaos Rings.
Thank you very much for all your support and interest. All of your questions, including the pricing questions, will be answered in the next few days. Appreciate your understanding in advance. Cheers!
Gamespot has as much credibility as Conrad Black. They rated Doom2 on xboxlive 6.0 and called it "too old", and also rated all the Monster Hunter games very low, Gamespot=poopoo.
I went into this thread thinking 'yet another generic 'retro' RPG, eh', then I clicked Squarezero's thread and realised it was the OMFGATLUSRPG I had seen a while ago. Good to hear some news on this, alongside War of Eustrath, this'll be a treat for my iPhone. Also, for the record, both IGN and Gamespot tend to have...inconsistent reviews, to say the least. I find Gamespot more reliable though (people have even come to giving IGN the nickname 'IGNorance').
I agree with both you and MrSpud (though I think that it really depends on the reviewer with GameSpot). I only mentioned it to give the full critical picture, as it were. The general consensus seems to be that it's a very good game.
Well hey, 70+ scores are always good in my book. Others may have higher standards though. I read in another thread that apparently 82 constitutes a low score, so...
I've seen that too, though mostly about the AAA releases. With something like this (more of a niche title), I think 7+ is a good score. In any event, my point is that this is no cellphone port or shovelware release.
How long has this been in review for? I feel like predicting when this could come out. Also, I kinda like the dev's decision to actually announce this very soon before release. I've seen so many games here get announced so early that the hype has actually kinda died by the time the game finally comes out. Same goes for War of Eustrath (the iPad release, I mean. Although they may have actually under-marketed that game).
