Hey there! Long time no see! Today, we're proud to reveal our first major iOS release since Treasure Arm, the recipient of IMGA's prestigious Best Caual Game award. Rest assured, we didn't spend all that time just polishing our trophy Here's what we were up to: In Bubble Universe, our unique spin - pun intended - on the match-3 genre, your goal is to gather matching sets of three or more bubbles in the rotating gravity field. An explosion of points results when the spinning laser hits a set of matching bubbles. If things get a bit too hot to handle, it’s time to call in the special bubbles or detonators to clear the way for more bubbles! And you know what they say... More bubbles equal more points! We have plenty more in store for you, including light story elements, plenty of challenge and achievements, as well as the cutest mascot this side of a certain green candy-eater. Big words, you say? Well, just wait until you meet Explo tomorrow! That's right. 2) Meet Explo! Hi, Earthling! Explo welcomes you to Galaxy Dee! Who is Explo? Me is Explo! To save Galaxy Dee, Explo must win The Cosmic Challenge. But to win, Explo needs be smart and needs be quick. Explo not very quick and not very smart, though. But you is, Earthling! Help Explo, and Explo will send you back home. As you can see, Explo certainly has a way with words Now that you've learned what you can do for Explo, you'd probably like to know what Explo can do for you. Well, the quirky robot is your companion thorough the entire Bubble Universe experience. He'll introduce you to the game, explain the basics, fetch you bubbles and, when you're in a really tight spot, maybe even give you a life-saving detonator (more on those in a future update). Explo is a fully animated, 3D character with lots of personality. He cheers when you're winning, gets sad if you're losing and shows a whole range of other emotions. Looks solid, and a lot of fun! It's always great to see developers put in a lot of effort towards a game's presentation values, and make sure the promise of innovative gameplay is matched with real polish and substance. Looking forward to getting my hands on this soon.
4) Under The Hood Of course not! However, when given a choice between re-rendering the trailer and making you wait or showing what we have right now, we opted for the latter. What can we say, we're really excited to share our baby with the world ASAP. Bubble Universe (an Universal app, by the way) takes full advantage of the hardware it runs on. We've tested it on pretty much every device there is and it runs like a dream on each of them! Thanks! It's posts like these that drive us to constantly better ourselves and create the coolest games on the market. We hope not to disappoint. Anyway, it's time for another update. This time, we'll let you know more about gameplay itself. What's Bubble Universe all about? Your task is to rotate the gravity field so that bubbles of the same color land next to each other. When you gather three or more bubbles of the same color, they will be detonated by the laser. Keep in mind that the laser only rotates when the gravity field is stationary. Once you get enough points you will progress to the next level. Each level is faster than the last. If you survive all five levels the action will slow down again, but a multiplier will be applied to your score. As you make progress, several special bubbles will appear, such as: Increases your score multiplier for a limited time. Once triggered, explodes along with neighboring bubbles regardless of their color. Makes the bubbles fall slower. Limits the number of subsequent bubble colors to three. Makes the laser move faster.
