Atmospheric games? Do you mean like how each game makes me feel when i look at it, or hear stuff in it, or read through the story, or traverse in it, or when in combat etc... Here's my list:

The Walking Dead (this game puts fear in you the first time you play it. i dont know about you guys, but hammering that zombies head still freaks me out)

Into The Dead (the elements that make up the game from sounds of foot steps to zombie gronas to breathing to brushing through cornfields, the camera tilt when moving through obstacles, and that damn cornfield, the death animation, the dark heavy artstyle, the forest, the crows, everything)
Year Walk (highly stylized graphics and feels like reading a comic book as the story plays in your mind)

Dead Space (the dead space team realy knows their formula well. good lighting, great action and exploration pacing, the wtf moments, and a well written story that holds everything together)

Orc Vengeance (very well played lighting, and well balanced difficulty that will keep you on your toes)

EPOCH. (destruction everywhere caused by the war, robot parts, car parts, everything a mess, and perfect setting for the story and gameplay)

TheEndApp (probably the best backgrounds variety, and well suited to the theme of solitary running through post-apocalyptic setting)

Chaos Rings 2 (dark and heavy story. Each time a nominator takes out a pillar, something inside me dies. one thing that kinda hinders the heavy story is the no-english voice overs which makes you look at the text below, BUT the japanese voicing does sound powerful when emoting.

Zombie Gunship (feels almost too real, and makes me go "oh f***, oh f***, oh f********" a lot of times)

Modern Combat 3 & 4 (when playing these games, sometimes i just get into the avatar's mind, and it just sucks me up right into the avatar's character while fighting, running through bullet hell and ricochet, while looking at my allies die, etc)

Yesterday (great story telling. makes you delve into the mind of an amnesiac, a psychopath, a sadist, a killer, and the story unfolds in a very good pacing)

EDIT: Sorry, forgot this was a top-5 list, and i got carried away.

Little Inferno, and to a lesser extent but with a similar atmosphere World of Goo.

They're not really in my top 5, but I thought they were worthy of this thread.

Not really. Yes it's pretty sweet but games like shardlands, the walking dead (comic book game version) and chaos rings series are great winners in my opinion.

Arguments like that never work. It's like death row. Don't kill, or we'll kill you. Ridiculous.

It worked for me. Anyone can say anything and pretend it's true. The whole "/thread" thing is kinda ignorant.

Implying that I was trying to end a thread. Clearly haven't even read my post before replying. It's a contend-able statement, yet everyone's decides today is ignore and misinterpret people's posts day. Yeah; really ignorant.
