EDIT: It's out! Please see the release thread: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=96754 ....... I'm happy to announce my latest game Match Panic. It's a quick pick-up-and-play arcade puzzle game with Game Center leaderboards/achievements plus a dozen unlockable characters. Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel Match Panic has been submitted to Apple and will be available early-to-mid June.
that looks awesome! but i must say that the game is not what i expected it to be/look like at all hope it does well! EDIT: also, it looks INSANELY fast-paced aaaannndddd it's got different achievement icons! (pretty much my only prob. with silverfish)
Looks nice. I really want to learn how to make pixel artwork. Don't have PhotoShop so I want to figure out how on Gimp.
Not the game i expected, looks like it will have a frantic gameplay like Silverfish and its something fresh and new. Tomorrow at 12 i will hit the Buy buy button
It only goes as fast as you can make matches, but speed is the key to getting a highscore and hitting the higher levels. That video is me playing in the iPhone simulator using my Wacom stylus - it can get faster on an actual device with two thumbs Cheers! But it's not on sale yet I submitted on Sunday so if everything goes smooth it could come out June 8 or 9. Depends how long it sits in the review queue. Thanks everyone for the kind comments
Not in love with the concept, but the awesome art and music is enough to pull me in. Lets see more games with this art.
Love the look of this, especially the crazy fast pace and all the particles flying everywhere. As I said on twitter... the basic idea reminds me of the bob-omb sorting minigame from Mario 64 DS (though in a different form, with more elements). I loooved that minigame, that was my favourite part of M64DS. Gets hectic. That + more than two kinds of cutesy things to sort + powerups = win.
The concept of a sorting game is nothing new, the AppStore is filled with them, but the idea of doing this with only two buttons is elegant design geniusness! I also love how you can see all of the sortees way down the line and that the right or left button can actually represent several different groups at once for sorting purposes.
The thrilling speed-up and complexity indeed intrigue and excite me. Good job guys. Wait for the releasing day and the challenge.
I've uploaded the Match Panic webpage with more info and retina display screenshots if anyone is interested: http://www.chaoticbox.com/matchpanic.php
