KOF'97 is pure classic, It was the peak of the series. But touch controls aren't very good to fighting games. Plays perfect on iCade, tough.

Just checked on Afterpad.com that the three TKOF, both Metal Slug and Garou are Mfi compatible, but does anyone know if its well implemented?

They play like a dream on iCade. Never tried a conventional controller.

Garou & 98 played perfecfly fine on my mate's Mad Catz CTRL i pad. Wasn't the biggest fan of the dpad while playing (wasn't accurate for some reason) but using the LS wasn't actually that bad to be honest. Face buttons are the 4 attack buttons, i can't remember if any of the shoulder buttons got used however.

I'd expect KoF 2012 to play just as well as KoF XIII did on pad.

As someone who plays in fighting game tournament, Garou Mark of the Wolves is my favorite by far. Garou is more fluid and quite skillful due it's red block system. As you get good with the red block system, the enjoyment increase tenfold. However, Garou is difficult to play well with touch control.

It's too bad the iCade is pretty garbage, though. The stick gets the job done but the buttons are just horribly stiff and require a lot more force than they should. Replacing them with real arcade buttons is fairly cheap and easy but I can't see many people ever doing that, or even considering it.

I got my icade core for peanuts on Amazon but I can't believe the build quality for the MSRP. Bought it to drill in side buttons for The Pinball Arcade, which it works awesome with. But yeah, would never want to play anything else with it.

I've always said to myself that the buttons are fine but the stick requires more force than I'm used. But this is not a problem for me, maybe they made it like this to make it more durable, to avoid it get too soft over time.

    I think iCade is great.

Loved iCade. Still do! But for MFI, Mad Catz Micro CTRLi is superb!

Same purpose and function. I have read complaints on icade's buttons which arent true for the CTRLi, so i tink his point stands.

Didn't I already answer your question? If you missed it, then both are the same but free version has ads.

I've used arcade sticks of all tiers, from $200 Mad Catz and Qanba to $5 clearance Wii arcade sticks from Five Below to the beat-to-hell buttons at Chicago barcades, and the iCade has the worst buttons I've ever used. They are certainly nothing like the buttons you'd find in an arcade, let alone on an enthusiast's controller.

And I'm by no means an expert or a pro, I just have played on enough that I was immediately shocked by the lousy quality of the iCade. Those buttons fight against you.

OK, ok, enough about that, I just wanted to ask if i-2012 is worth bothering with as a fan of KOF and KOF 2013. I noticed it has a ton of content but the P/K/E/S buttons seem weird and overly simplified.
