Ok just heard back from the dev's!

The reason they don't have gamecenter for Wannabat is because they want to manage the android users as well so they can play with and against the iOS users

Update Details:

1. Introduction of the Battle Point Ranking System

-During special periods users will be able to compete for rare items! The Top 3 users who receive the most battle points will receive rare items!

=========Season Ranking Open Event========

Top 1 = Gold Bat

Top 2 = Silver Bat

Top 3 = Bronze Bat

Top 4 ~ Top 99 = Will receive 500 Stars

2. Home Run Derby Mode Introduction

If you want to just practice or have a good time you can enjoy hitting balls out of the park with this new mode!

3. Over 30 New Items!

We added new bats, gloves, clothes and more to boost your stats and become the king of baseball!

I have probably given home run derby a good two hours of playtime today. Totally worth the wait on an update!

How on earth are you meant to win online in this? It seems absolutely impossible to hit the ball, yet opponents get the placement of the ball correct 100% of the time. I've played this game a lot, but my BP is still only 32 because I lose almost every single time. I play MLB 2K12 on my PC and don't have any trouble with that at all. When I do manage to hit the ball, it's a foul. Over at least 50 online games, I've probably got about 4 runs and about 10 hits.
