I guess it didn't pass? Many reviews were saying june 27th PC release then the 28th was for mobile.. Maybe it can't pass cause of its content? This would be no big surprise seeing what the game is about so maybe it was refused, and the developers are trying to find a way to break the news gently, or replace with another game? We just got to wait and see what happens maybe its slow to approve cause of holiday. I guess its just a waiting game now.

Well if it was approved for the Mac App Store, I don't see why the iOS version would be treated differently. Here's hoping it shows up soon.

IGN wasn't too kind in its review, gave it something like a 4.6/10.

    Ouch.

Yeah, but on Podcast Unlocked today Ryan said he gave it that score because he thought the game didn't age well, not because of anything Replay added. He admits to having never played the original... I think the review is too harsh, especially for someone who is reviewing a remake, not really knowing what was remade.

Honestly, if you've played any Larry games before and have enjoyed them, don't go by any reviews. My impressions of the on the previous page come from a person who owns every single Leisure Suit Larry game made (yes, including the two "console" abominations), the casino game, both talkie and non-talkie versions of Shape Up or Slip Out! and...yeah, you get my point.

Take my word for it, the game's good. Love for Sail and Shape Up are still my favorites, but this is LSL 1. It's not supposed to "age well". It's an old clunky game, with an old, clunky VGA remake, with an old storyline and has been brought forward in time as best as possible. I still wish the Kickstarter stuff was toned down, but the game is good. It's good. THE.GAME.IS.GOOD.

Hmm I played the windows version, was quite disappointed, I agree with the ign review. I've played most larry games I had the original on our pc xt with no hard drive and black and white cga screen when I was ten, this just isn't as fun. It uses the cartoony graphics used since larry 5, an option to switch between the unity assets and the original agi 16 color EGA graphics similar to the way the Another World remake does would be cool.
I wonder what it would take to resurrect space quest

Hey gang, we have no idea why the iOS version is taking so long to approve. We've contacted everyone at Apple we know and they all said it was "flagged for additional scrutiny". I do think it's funny, though, that we uploaded the Mac OSX build Monday morning and it was approved and live the same day. Literally, within four hours. Maybe they're more desperate on the Mac OSX store? Who knows.

In regards to the poor ratings, I don't think those people are giving us fair reviews. We did a Kickstarter and delivered everything we promised in the Kickstarter and more. Sure, if we had $1mm or $2mm it would have been a COMPLETELY different game, but we didn't....we had $653 from Kickstarter and anouther $100k from PayPal, of which, 25% went to prizes, 10% went to Kickstarter, and well, then there's the developer that is literally doing it at cost just to make it happen since they're such huge Larry fans. N-Fusion has to be one of the best developers I've ever worked with. Did you guys see their new Deus Ex game? AWESOME!!!

Jesus, you guys just can't win. Hell, even your post was moderated and needed approval before "going public" (don't worry, just a new account thing) and it was posted on the 12th. :/

    C'mon Apple...hurry up! :(

Apple rejected us but we're not giving up

So, here's the deal. Get this: they failed us for having an exit button in the game and no iOS apps are allowed to have that. Now, while I COULD point the finger at N-Fusion for leaving it in there (they're an iOS developer and should know better), or I could blame our QA company (they QA iOS games ALL the time and never reported this issue), I'm going to admit it to being my fault. After all, I'm the CEO, and the buck stops here. I'm so sincerely sorry I let you guys down. Nobody is besting themselves up more than I am, trust me.

On the plus side, we found a fatal bug in the PC version and "something" at the end of the game that would've made us fail had they seen it, so we'll remove the exit button and upload version 1.01 "special iOS version". If you don't know what I'm talking about, play the PC or Mac version from Steam or our DRM free version and find the Easter egg at the very end of the game.

    Very sorrily yours,
    -Paul

Thanks for letting us know. Yep its a bit of a 'schoolboy error' to have that exit button in as you dont have that anymore in apps.

But it sounds like its 'nearly' there ! Looking forward to it

*sigh* Well I guess a rejection is better than sitting around for another month with nothing, but still...if that was grounds for getting rejected, couldn't they have just failed this build a month ago? >_>

*another sigh* Damnit, hate that you have to remove the easter egg. :/ I'm guessing the a 17+ rating still doesn't cover that?

You guys might as well ask for an expedited review. ;)
