Sounds like we have a closet LP fan here.....

But seriously, any impressions on the actual game? We've already established that LP is a mediocre band with a faceless product, now let's move on to the game.

No impressions yet?

From the videos I've seen (thanks Sanuku and other posters), the game looks decent. If the story holds up, and progression doesn't require IAP, this might be worth playing.

I think I'm going to hold out a bit longer for some game impressions. Maybe Eli or Jared will post a review, or check it out during one of the streams?

I'm certainly willing to give the game a shot, if it's not crap or a disgusting cash-grab.

I know it says "iPad 3 or above" but anyone have got the chance to play it on an iPad 2 or mini?

Yeah, a review would help. Wonder how the inapps and all work.

Based on gameplay videos I've seen it looks kind of bland and repetative. Animations look kind of shoddy too.

I'm also highly suspicious of dual currency premium games. If it goes more than 2 months without dropping to free and I see some reviews I might try it out.

Game Impressions

This is actually a nice game..! The upgrading is fun, hitting enemies with all elemental spells and combos is cool.
There is narrated storyline, and there is plenty of equipment and mechanics to discover.

Progress is gated by a "collect x stars in previous stage to unlock next stage y" system. As far as f2p, iap seems completely optional.

Seems like a bit of a diamond in the rough, i.e: Tutorial is pretty long, controls could provide more customization (would prefer virtual analog stick, and a button to dash maybe).
