So, genuine question time - I've managed to find all the achievements apart from 'A Waxy Discovery'. So far so good.

Being completely stuck as to where it was (I'd had a real idea, but nothing) I emailed the developers to ask for help. They very quickly replied and told me how to get it. Hurrah.

But, it turns out, (as the fact it's worth 35 pts may suggest) it's a 'story' achievement - that is, it's one triggered by an essential event, rather than being hidden.

I've now played through the game three times to try and obtain it - including one on a clean reinstall of the game and one on a fresh Game Center account - but no luck.

So, while the devs are looking into it (Revolution have been great at keeping in contact, and very helpful), I thought I'd ask if anyone else was missing this achievement? I know it's not just me, but was wondering how widespread it was?

To anyone still missing 'A Waxy Discovery' - which it turns out is probably everyone - an update was released today allowing you to get it.

So the moral of the story is don't be afraid to email developers about your issues - and hats off to Revolution for fixing the problem.

Sorry to necro-bump this thread as well, but Graymalkin, WHICH achievements ARE the hidden ones and how do you get them?
I'm replaying this game (I don't know how many times I've played it over the course of my life) as I didn't even know that it was updated with achievements.

'Ardent Adventurer' is probably much like 'Hardcore' for BS2, right? Completing the game without hints.

EDIT:
'Rodnay Zaks' - First scene, keep 'clicking' the bookcase until you get it.
'Obsidian Sky' - First time going to Nico's apartment, use the manhole tool on the door and then the old woman. Exit the conversation and click on one of the top floor windows on the left for a secret easter egg.
'Shocking Thoughts' - Use the shocker on Nurse Grendel
'Ardent Adventurer' - Beat the game without using hints.

Sorry about the bump!! I have searched the internet high and low and this thread is the only help I can seem to find. I need one achievement for this game and it's Viral Evidence. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Again sorry for the bump!!!!

The Viral Evidence achievement unlocks when you pick up the tissue in the sewer. It's story-related so you should have got it during the playthrough, which kind of suggests something went wrong with the game at that point.

This just dropped to a dollar and is now Universal, great for the iPhone users.
But they deleted the HD iPad version with no respect for those who bought it for the iPad. Now I'd have to buy this game a second time on the AppStore if I ever wish to replay it
