Last game, Catch the Ark, same thing happened, and alot of early adopters data got corrupted and lost all coins, inapp consumables, and boats. They don't even seem to care, never replied to my emails. So this game, I am sure the previous update is better than this freemum update. Sucks. Don't think I will ever buy another Chillingo/EA game again. Boycott I guess. Oh well, will be happier to get all their games for free and play them for 3 days then delete. Sigh. So any early adopter out there, is it safe for me to update? Or should I not update? Hate these freemium updates, that is NOT what updates are meant for. Hope this doesn't add adds either. Really wish someone out there would start a class action lawsuit for bait and switch tactics, so this crap would stop. Connector Well-Known Member May 6, 2012 15,512 1 0 In the Chatroom http://thechatroom.freeforums.net/ #19 Connector, Mar 20, 2013 Some people have claimed that Chillingo sees if a game sells well, if it does, it doesn't go freemium. I don't think this is true. Heman is probably the most popular selling games that they had recently. So if it happens to Heman and good games like Catch the Ark, then well, you know now it goes. If it walks like a duck, talks like a duck, it probably is a duck. This case is interesting cause Heman was a platformer not an endless runner, so takes more energy to become freemium. Wish Chillingo would just come out with freemium games from the start instead of converting our games and corrupting our data and making us lose all coins and inapps, it is shady business what they are doing. I'd be willing to bet you an app on whether your Chillingo game goes free within 3 months. undeadcow Well-Known Member Dec 4, 2010 9,493 2 36 Houston, TX #20 undeadcow, Mar 20, 2013 You are correct, I don't want to "look a gift horse in the mouth" but am skeptical about IAPs even if they were pre-existing. In the case of He-man is appears changes were made to correspond with free sale, but it's not clear how they impact gameplay. Change log: (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
