Ahh what a beautiful game. Just played it a bit and it's very much an improved version of the last game.

The design, ui, etc all look gorgeous and flow nicely. Lots of upgrades to the designs of the menus from the last game, all better imo. Actually I would go as far to say it has one of the best menu systems for a mobile RPG. They even added a mini map in the corner instead of a regular map menu! As usual, there's a fairly deep magic creation and crafting system here. Story is cute, as well as the main character. The designer of this game knows what "adorable" really means I definitely love this character design the best out of all three games.

Combat is fun as usual. You actually have to summon monsters in each battle instead of always having them with you in WS2, though this may change when you get a mount? A small cool aesthetic is you can pick where you want your monster summoned on the battlefield. Casting magic is much more fun here, you drag your magic circle to the center of the screen then tap it to launch. The previous was just standard "tap" magic to use - I appreciate all the small changes and everything just feels good. Only complaint is same as WS2, I wish the battle menu was on the right side, so I don't have to keep moving my hands around to tap the screen icons. This ties into why I recommed tap controls since you don't keep swapping from holding your device for a joystick, then switching to holding for tap menus.

The great thing is WS2 hero is a mage and here is a swordsman, awesome change with great battle animations. Apparently this is a sad story of a girl who is trying to make dolls that can talk because she has no friends, and of course the humans are all afraid of her because she's a witch. Another compelling story like WS2.

Leveling / training is so much better now. In WS2 it was way more casual, you could level your character free of charge any time you wanted for as long as you want. Here, there's actually a timer for when you can train which decreases as you quest. Even better, WS2 you walk up to training spots to train - in WS3 you train in your house and can make a training schedule that can be saved for quick training. Everything is much more streamlined. And of course in WS fashion, the animations are cute.

The only true down point of this game is the controls. The tap mode is the best because almost all the menus require tapping all over the screen, so this flows better. Downside is that you have to tap multiple times as it usually can't navigate to points around obstacles / won't even register taps. Joystick is better for RPGs imo but here it feels a bit wonky and the controls will feel strange when you keep swapping from joystick for the world map, then tapping all across the screen for other menu items. Just doesn't flow well. I guess you have to take your pick.

Overall, I'm in love all over again. WS3 made most of the improvements I wanted to see. To me the Witchspring series has always been the cutest RPGs on mobile, and this looks to be even better than the last!

Amazing game so far. Loved loved loved number 2 so I had to get this and had no idea it was coming. Im glad I saved up iTunes credits because there have been quite a few purchases this month. Anyways, I have no complaints really. Its not perfect but its pretty good. The controls arent bad its been just tapping, small buttons since Im using iPhone 8 plus . As with any exploration by tap game sometimes youll tap to go somewhere and the guy will walk over, wig for a second turn around and go some place else. Meh it happens. There are some graphical bugs here and there though, some pixeling near large enemies and sometimes you see that weird line through the graphics its hard to explain but Im sure if youre paying attention youll see it, its not annoying or anything its just there.. lol other wise the game looks good, cute but sad story well at first as far as I can tell it might get less sad. Anyways the main bug which is t a huge deal is saving in the diary. If you dont change the title of your save spot every time it wont save. Test this by just clicking save keeping the current name and watching the game time, do it again watch the game time .. no change. But if you change the name pull the box up type in the exact same name hit done it will save. Again not a huge deal since auto save happens every time you move areas.

Ahh your post quite worried me. I tested it and it actually does save. It's just the number doesn't update on the save screen. If you quit to the title screen and come back it will be the saved game.

Oh wow, you can also imbue your sword with magical power later as you level up, and it lasts for 3 turns. The animations are so cool, your sword turns into a laser beam type thing - ahh I love all these new additions. It's like a casual but semi-deep crafting RPG.

Are you positive? Because I sat there and saved over and over and over and the save time even the seconds never changed . But my save game is just called save1 so as soon as I clicked on the name and typed in save1 again the seconds and even the minutes changed because of how long actually passed since my last real diary update. (It was like 2 minutes) anyways Id imagine if you had just then tried and reloaded you wouldnt really notice since you .. know just saved lol but I dunno it just looks wonky to me is all. If its actually saving and not showing you it is thats also a bug either way. Cause I had sound up and everything and clicking save did nadda and as I said changing the save name then click save thered be that save sound. So I dunnnnnooo
