It makes it more frustrating to plan than it is fun. Atleast that's my feelings. If the circle was just a bit bigger it would be better. Billy vectorarchitekt Well-Known Member Dec 29, 2013 2,481 171 63 #3 vectorarchitekt, May 21, 2015 I also think the circle could at least be larger just to reduce all that wasted screen space. The circle could at least touch the sides... The game is the opposite of fun. Grimstone82 Well-Known Member Jan 3, 2011 594 0 0 Northbrook, IL #6 Grimstone82, May 21, 2015 Are we playing the same game here? For me the circle pulsates and at times it does come pretty close to touching the sides of the screen. I think if it was permanently maximum size, it would defeat the purpose of the game. The constantly pulsating circle is part of the core gameplay mechanic. I for one like it, it's fairly unique and well executed. xjaff Well-Known Member Sep 7, 2012 250 0 16 Male Toronto, Canada #7 xjaff, May 21, 2015 I also think the circle size is fine, and it does increase and decrease in size as you progress. It's a fun quick reflex game. Indeed it is difficult, it's meant to be - short quick games. Ijipop Well-Known Member Jul 25, 2012 554 256 63 #8 Ijipop, May 21, 2015 It is a really simple, die a lot, rotate left right kind of game. Made me think a little bit of Plax. Nothing extraordinary, but well executed, it's free so just try it! And the IAP are funny! It starts at 130$ Probably a mistakes as it goes up to 900$ Anyway, nice work! Simoqsa Well-Known Member May 21, 2015 95 9 8 #9 Simoqsa, May 21, 2015 Not fun at all, the size of the circle is so narrow. And probably be confused as hell. Thanks for the feedback everyone. It's a shame it wasn't accepted like I thought it would be, but for my last game I don't think I'm leaving on a bad note. Ijipop Well-Known Member Jul 25, 2012 554 256 63 #11 Ijipop, May 21, 2015 You really did a great job! I don't really understand people complaining about the circle expanding then retracting, i't's why the game is hard as hell! I never saw anyone complaining about the hex getting smaller and bigger in Super Hexagon. I've played thousands of games, and if I would have made a game like you did I would have been proud! Wish you the best in the future! vectorarchitekt Well-Known Member Dec 29, 2013 2,481 171 63 #12 vectorarchitekt, May 22, 2015 Last edited: May 22, 2015 I may have mentioned the circle being small, but it's still a great little game! I don't want to finish but college is a priority and I don't think anyone will hand me a loan with my situation. So I have to sell my stuff off. It's unfortunate but it's life. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Edit: thanks for your donation! I doubt I will play this again. triggywiggy Well-Known Member Jan 24, 2010 4,353 2 0 Freelance writer, Student, Casually employed in re Perth, Western Australia #16 triggywiggy, May 22, 2015 So I have given the game a go and these are what I have found: I like - How unique it is. In a day and age where every game is trying to rip off the last one it is hard for people to come up with something that hasn't been done. As far as I can see this is new. - The simplicity. It isn't over complicated and only has two controls. I dont like - Lack of tutorial. After 10 or so goes I finally got the hang of what I was doing. But a tutorial is key to making new players feel at home and feel like they are doing it correctly. - Size of the circle. I understand that the circle has the certain size for a purpose. But if you increase the circle and all the other objects it would be easier to see. - The element of luck. Now don't get me wrong here, game should have some element of luck. But I found for the most of this game I was relying more on luck than actual skill to play this game. Some suggestions - Start off slower. Make it so to start with the balls are slower and at a decreased rate, then increase this rate as things go on? - Backgrounds. Like I said I like the simplicity of the app. But maybe some different colour background (Just plain colours) would make the game feel different each time you play. - If you implemented this with a increase of rate as the game goes on maybe you could start white and gradually change colour gradiently as the game gets more difficult. This way the player gets the reward of seeing a new colour. (I know this sounds weird but it would work as an achievement basis). You could then release achievements off this. "Got to red" etc. vectorarchitekt Well-Known Member Dec 29, 2013 2,481 171 63 #17 vectorarchitekt, May 22, 2015 I actually prefer the background as it is because the colors of the circle alternate each game, which is cool. I do like the start off slower idea...just a bit. But at the same time, jumping right in kinda gives it an edge. Please don't give up. You have talent. The developer world has its ups and downs. You obviously have the talent just by looking at the game. It works flawlessly. Don't give up.
