i have real racing, and would gladly trade it for nfs shift. Not that real racing is bad, its actually really good in graphics and is more realistic, but i think nfs is slightly better due to customization. Also i am a little more of an arcade racer fan too. But i dont like the whole on rails thing with nfs, so i am still not buying it. But out of the two, nfs.

RR is more of a sim, while Shift is a hybrid of sim and arcade. Both have about equally good graphics (in my eyes) and great controls. Both have lots of content. If I were you I would buy RR as it is cheaper and about equal to shift...and I have a burning hatred for EA mobile

Need for Speed: Shift is only On-Rails if you want it to be, you can turn all of the assists off and you can do pretty much whatever you want!

I also really like NFS:S, because I like both Sim and Arcade racers, Need for Speed Shift is a good mix of both of them.

In my opinion NFS: Shift is the better game but the fact is that Real Racing is the better game.

I'd go with real racing because I'm more of a sim fan than an arcade fan, but nfs is good too.

I can see the real racing fanboys drowning in their tears because deep down they know nfs shift is the winner

How retarded is this thread huh?

Of course the majority will say NFSS because of their need to keep continuity of the psyche. After spending $10 on a game, would you admit one that's been out 6 months ago is better?

Anyway, my vote goes to RR and since RR doesn't run at 10 FPS, I can get a sense of speed on the track. :D:D:D:D

If you did more than one race you would find your sense of speed.
Don't go burning a game before you have actually played through the whole damn thing

+1. I almost regretted buying NFSS when I first tried it. Nut after playing it for another 30 minutes, it`s pretty much all set to become one of my favorite games on iPhone.

Helmania on NFSS thread? Surprise surprise!!

10fps? Go buy a new gen iDevice, if you can't afford it stop blaming the game. Your device is too old.

I hate NFS:S for not having touch controls - but the customization there is more awesome than Real Racing's so I voted for NFS:S.

Although Need for Speed: Shift doesn't run quite as well as Real Racing on my 2G iPhone, it gets my vote because of customisation

    RR

The fact that we compare a nearly one year old masterpiece to a new high franchise racer is a plus for Real Racing and a blame for NFS.

But Shift has such a huge fan boy base (NFS) that the poll might be misleading.

The true racer when it comes to the sense of speed and driving sim is RR. I would really love Firemint to do a RR2 with licenced cars and customization that would kick again everyone's (esp. Ea's) a**.

I'm sorry, there are so many things wrong with that post. Do you not realize that you are a Real Racing fanboy? The sense of speed in Need for Speed is good, so long as you play more than one race. It's called upgrades, which for some reason don't appear in RR.

Real Racing is a sim... yeah, and I'm Emperor of the Universe
