i want to know if you guys have any regret buying some apps. i have a bunch: dungeon hunter boxhead zombie war asphalt 4 attack of the dead ancient war wars crystal defenders your mom *woops* moron test hero of sparta brain challenge think again bubble smasher galcon lab isniper and a lot more... how bout u?
Worms. Especially because I believe they are making a whole new game, instead of adding multiplayer. Oh, and Real Racing.
ALL OF THEM. the first one led to the second one which led to the third one which led to the.... which led to the five hundredth sixty third one which led.. but seriously, zenonia, the others ones which i've regretted made it up with a nice update. EDIT: Aaron makes a good point, worms.
Too many to list, but recently: Wheeler's Treasure(sorry guys I know a lot of you liked it, but I found it boring) Command and Conquer(shouldn't of bought it in the first place as I'm not a fan of the genre) Groovin' Blocks(boring, should've just stuck with Tetris) Tap Fu(shallow shallow game) Canabalt(should've waited for a price drop, it's alright, but not 2.99 cents worth to me)
Also too many to list... I hate the App Store. Worst of all, people around here like to moan when I get picky about what I'm spending my money on! Yes I know it's only 99 friggin' cents, but so were the 101 other apps I ended up disliking and now I'm down $100.
u regretted HoS and DH? ur dumb dude those games were great. idc if they're cheap copies of God of War and Diablo, doesnt take away from the fact that they were fun and i got many many hours of playtime out of them
its not that i hat them if there cheap copies, its just that dungeon hunter is very uncomfortable to me. hero of sparta has short chapters
I've been TRYING to follow the following policy so I don't regret buys. #1) Don't believe the hype. Especially here on TA where it can be pure hysteria at times. #2) Try the lite FIRST #3) Carefully look at Youtube vid. I typically won't buy an app anymore without at least looking at a vid of gameplay. Even after all this some still slip through the cracks: Alien Glyphs Triazzle - Even though on sale I still don't play RC Heli - ignored reviews about bad control scheme. Rebound Rivals - same as above Isotope - Loved it until Meteor Blitz came out. No room for two! A purchase that others regret but I love is: TapFu - I know, shallow. But I love kicking ninja booty, I keep coming back.
Dungeon and Hero was one of my early regrets. I only have a handful of regrets. I don't quite buy into hypes, but I have a tendency to jump immediately at games that are in the genre of my interest. Nick Chase is turning out to be quite regretful as I found that I don't like some of the minigames in it. MechoWars -- bought on a sale but I never quite got into it. I think the colors are too funky.
DH remains one of the best RPGs to date in the app store, i never understood why ppl b!tched and moaned about getting stuck on paths etc because it really isnt that big of a deal, takes a whopping 2 secs to get unstuck. the amount of customization is great, not only can u add to ur str/dex etc, u can choose how u wanna map out ur skill tree. combine that with the wicked armor u find in Gothicus, its fun. im not a fanboy of GL, but they do make good games. they never ever receive updates.........but still they're fun while they last
Theseus and Enigmo. Neither grabbed me. I bought Rolando with a gift certificate last year and still haven't finished it.
dungeon hunter doodle jump minigore(kinda) hookchamp minigore kinda because i think it suks but then i dont think it suks ....
Inkvaders and knights onrush. Both became really repetative after a while. Also real racing i paid more than 7x what i pay for most of my games and i probably play run for example more than 7x as often as i play RR.
Cro Mag Rally Ferrari Enigmo (good game, but not really my type) Krazy Kart Racing (Not _Nearly as good as Cocoto, which has an awesome multiplayes and was a lot cheaper) Duke Nukem 3d (horrible Controls) Platinum Solitaire (WTF was I thinking, overpriced) Texas Hold'Em (same as above) Motochaser Nanosaur 2 The Force Unleashed. I actually really enjoyed Hero of Sparta.
I judge a game by value for money.. playing it for at least 3 hours for every dollar spent.. The games which failed to meet that mark AFTER i purchased them are; GD Swarm - too hard.. fk off Flight Control - boring.. so it gets hectic.. not my type of fun.. Aqua Globs - polished.. yes.. fun.. not really.. see flight control i dig it - i didnt dig it.. cs.one - not worth my time, too easy to die, flight is too fluid, needs more control galcon labs - not my kind of game, but it was on sale at least
