I can't believe they want $10 for a decade old Quake 3 engine game. If they were going to release a game from that series on the app store why make it the last one Jedi Knight III: Jedi Academy? jeffyg3 Well-Known Member Mar 22, 2010 1,251 0 36 #3 jeffyg3, Aug 11, 2011 Yeah, or Star Wars Republic Commando. That was an awesome Xbox game. Would have loved to have seen this ported over to the Mac instead of this one. Initial price of $10 seems reasonable for what was a AAA title at one time. Jedi Academy is only a year-and-a-half "younger" than Outcast. I'm sure Aspyr is working on getting it on the MAS as well. I remember the multiplayer mode to be a lot of fun. How crowded is it this days? Might pick it up. DarthSlim Well-Known Member Oct 30, 2010 200 0 0 #8 DarthSlim, Aug 13, 2011 Aspyr already has a Mac port of Jedi Academy, it's just not on the App Store yet, so I'm sure it will be eventually. I doubt we'll see ports of Battlefront or Republic Commando though, since Aspyr has never ported those before. It would make me very happy if they did though. Also i'm stuck on some missions (used cheats for skipping levels). Now i can complete game without cheats. I bought this game and very happy Duke Floss Well-Known Member Mar 12, 2010 890 0 0 Writer - Producer - Engineer English Roundabout http://www.heavyjack.com #11 Duke Floss, Aug 19, 2011 I wish they'd release the original Jedi Knight (Dark Forces 2) - Jedi Outcast was awesome, but Dark Forces 2 was way better. It may not stack up these days but, I remember being really submersed in this game form beginning to end. thom-22 Well-Known Member Jul 30, 2008 80 0 0 San Diego #14 thom-22, Aug 21, 2011 Dark Forces II was never made for Mac (and if it had been it would have been pre-OSX). Somewhere in the 96-97 timeframe, Lucasarts stopped making Mac versions of their games. It wasn't until some time later that Aspyr started porting Lucasarts games, so Mac users were left with big holes in not only the Dark Forces/Jedi Knight series, but also the Indiana Jones and Monkey Island series. I've played the "missing on Mac" games in the latter two series, but never had a chance to play DF2.
