App description: A CLASSIC OLD-SCHOOL GAMEPLAY WITH CARTOON GRAPHICS STYLE
Inspired by the classic shoot them up genre, Captain Slash is a horizontal scrolling shooter arcade game.

STORY
Humanity is just beginning his conquest of the solar system. Two extraterrestrial bases were established. The first on the Moon was founded in 2029 and the second on Mars was founded in 2037. The lunar base is a center
military science and a launch pad for space travels while the Martian is intended solely for civilian purposes.
Lots of corporations choose to build automated orbital factories due to the lack of gravity and avoid Earth pollution.

A military unit specialized in extraterrestrial interventions was created in 2028 to protect human interests outside their homeworld. Captain Slash is one of them.
But so far, the only listed threats are religious extremists and other anti expansionist terrorists.

The player controls Captain Slash's spaceship and must annihilate the rebel threat.

FEATURES
Unlock five decks each with six levels and a mighty boss.
Collect credits to buy new weapons and upgrades to improve your spaceship and help you defeat the rebels.
Auto Fire (just focus on aiming the ennemies and avoid their bullets).
Only one finger is required to take them down!
Available in 2 languages: English and French.
Tablet support

Blast off everything and take the rebel horde down!
If you are looking for fun and nothing else, Captain Slash is your game!

WARNING: Does NOT work on iPhone 3GS and iPod touch 4th generation

NoLabel Games's comments:
Inspired by the classic shoot them up genre, Captain Slash is a retro-styled shooter which provides you mighty weapons to reach the exit in each level by taking over the rebel horde in a 2D environment.

Think it has potential, very slow to begin with with the small asteroids (then bigger asteroids) then some slow ships coming towards you.

The menus which keep scrolling up from the bottom, then scrolling down are a bit of a pain.

Relative touch works well but one life ? I was very surprised when i died and then that was it, normally you get 3 or 5 lives etc

Does remind me of old skool games like Gradius (Nemesis) a bit, think it just needs to be a bit quicker, just seemed way too slow at the start.

Thanks for the feedback.
The beginning is quite slow, so that the player has time to get used to the controls.
The menus speed will be increased in the next release.
When your spaceship is destroyed you have to restart the level, but you lose nothing (you even keep all the collected credits). So, if a level is too hard, just collect credits to buy a new powerfull upgrade and come back with more firepower.

Maybe you could tweak it so that it happens only ONCE on the first playthrough like a tutorial.

This is indeed a possibility, thank you for the proposal.

Looks nice. May need to try this one. Name is a little misleading. I hear "slash" and I start thinking Fruit Ninja -- not a shmup.

It is obvious that the name was poorly chosen. Anyway, thanks for the feedback.
