Can anyone see if it's just a ROM with the same old emulator?

And $8 for only Sonic2?? I can get 25 megadrive games with save slots and bonus contents for $15 on other consoles!!!

This is one of the best games ever! So why is it so hard to get excited about it?

Because the first one was a disappointment.

Because Sonic 1 performed like crap on anything but a 3Gs or 3rd Gen and the controls were fairly poor. We'll wait for impressions before checking out this one.

Sega cancelled the genesis collection app to impove the quality of thier releases and take the platform more serious, yet they still release these single genny apps for 6 bucks a pop. We should get a whole sonic collection for 6 bucks. Don't get me wrong, I love sonic 2 and I will buy this just because I want it on my iPod, furthing proving that sega can release half-assed attempts and it sells. Damn me to hell.

Controls were poor... not Sonic's fault. It's the iPod.

In saying that, Sonic 2 is one of the best games ever made.

So you're saying that all games played on the iPod have poor controls?

    AC2 refutes this point easily.

There are so many platformers on the iPhone with great controls. As squarezero said, ACII refutes your point.

This is my favorite game from the genesis. I'll definately buy when it releases in the USA. But i do hope that did some serious optimizations and smoothed out the game play. Thankfully I didn't spend all my iTunes credit. I had a gut feeling that I would need it soon.

Oh, this just can't be good. Sega screwed up pretty much every AppStore release so far.
