"Platforms Unlimited is just an all-around well-made game. It provides challenge without frustration, and plenty of reason to keep coming back. Platforming fans would do well to pick this up."

Congrats.

Congrats.
Thanks! The indie life is not an easy path, which make it doubly rewarding when we manage to entertain people. I Wrote a small text the other day on our blog to illustrate this:

''We think that videos games is definitely not only about visuals. It's not only about iterating the same recipe over and over because it is more secure financially. It's not only about making games easier and easier in a casual reach for numbers. It's not only about metrics and behaviour analysis. It's not only about making free-game-with-paywall. Sometimes, it's about going back to the roots: making fun, simple, challenging and fresh experiences. Without this kind of spirit, the video games industry would have never emerged and it would not be able to renew itself when it needs to. We are XperimentalZ Games and we salute all indies living their passion as well as their supporters, keeping the soul of video games alive.''

The point is not that any of this is necessarily wrong, but that there should not be 'norms'. When I see some of the amazing 'outside-the-box' but fun stuff that indies make these days, I'm happy .

The mobile stores top free charts are crazy these days...

So, should we add a 'Flappy Bird' game mode? :P

Counted 28 of this new born 'flappy' genre in the top 200 and wondered about something. This must be very disruptive for large cies investing crazy amounts of money to buy their place at the top to get extra visibility.

Imagining a game made in 3 days taking down an entire freemium industry is a puzzling thought.

It's crazy. The other day I saw a game called fall Out Bird. It's an official Flappy Bird clone endorsed by the band Fall Out Boy. It's madness. Lmao

Just completed the Armageddon mode which will be included in the next update, it's insane. Massively difficult, totally unfair. Designed to keep even Andy under 60 sec of play. The regular endless mode looks like a walk in the park next to it.
Its also immensely fun. I'll make a gameplay video once we get closer to submission.

We're also changing how the main character look to give him some personality. With the animation sets, it should be pretty cool .

Will make a more official video later, but here's a first recording by Doomfan on Kamcord displaying the new mode and the new character

http://www.kamcord.com/v/9e2E831jaYH/

- Coins won't give score, so that the score will match time exactly.

- The power-ups won't be available.
