I'm not familiar with getjar but Tapjoy is a PPI (pay per install) service for advertising intead of paying by the click or impressions you pay per guarantied install they confirm this by integrating their SDK (very simple) when ever a user downloads and runs ur app it counts as an install ive used tapjoy its been the best most efficient form of advertising ive come across if u have enough money they say u can buy ur way into the top 25 other similar services r ,moduad and flurry's app circle Tapjoy is about $0.50 an install moduad is the cheapest at $0.25 an install
I UM cannot see the point of a one off pay install as Tapjoy will then carry on to make continous money I suspect, But we poor things wil probably not
I thought apple has essentially nixed TapJoy with new policy. is it still possible to promote an app by paying tapjoy? if it is, do you risk getting marked as a bad apple by...apple?
That's a misconception Paid installs r still allowed Only incentive installs where disallowed Eg give a player in game currency to download this free app So as long as ur not giving the player any incentive to download an app. U can buy as many downloads as u want. U can use Tapjoy or any other PPI service as much as u want and u won't be on apple's bad side
Ah ok, interesting. I guess it's a question then of if these services can still push a reasonable number of paid downloads without offering anything else back to their users.
