You're welcome. Keep a lookout for educational apps from Max and Haley (Our company), that will be targeted towards a younger audience and are more about learning. No iap, no ads, no junk. We very much believe in our products, characters, and the experience we are giving should reflect the ethos of our company.
We have a very talented artist. I'm not sure how long each concept piece took - but every cetacean, fish and shark in the game was studied by as much video we could obtain and live observation. We needed to match the motion and physics dynamics to the "feel" of the model shape and the essence of the creatures observed motion. With physics simulations - people use machine learning to do this match, but we felt that to really create an "illusion of life", we had to do this process more intuitively.

send me UDID Submitted to App store on Sunday. We kept tweaking and tweaking weeks past our launch date to nail the compulsion to play over and over which is extremely strong now. If anyone wants a pre-release full copy, send me UDID. (On condition you do a pre-release review in this thread. Most devs will say their game is "addictive". You have no idea how true this is with I am Dolphin. This game will hook you viscerally - and I'm warning you, you will not be able to put it down. I understand these are extremely audacious words - but send me your udid and I you'll see I'm not full of @)*#) It plays perfectly smooth on 4s or above, iPod5 or above, and iPad2 or above.
Some more coverage by National Geographic for the medical use of the underlying physics simulation of our cetaceans (good video link): http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2014/09/140929-krakauer-medicine-stroke-neurology-rehabilitation/ Every animation in the game is physics-generated. So it feels very visceral and smooth. Game is submitted to Apple. Plays perfectly (60fps) on 4s or above, but iPad air and iPhone 6 are extra neat with the large schools of fish.
iPhone5 gameplay. Zoey, the Orca, vs. Kthulu, the Great White Shark. This was a rather lucky battle - red cards are "extreme" and usually not nearly this easy. Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel
So, Diana Reiss, a world renowned expert on dolphin cognition, has been gracious to us in offering so many insights into the emotions of dolphins. She is the author of a very good book, which I encourage anyone interested to read, "Dolphin in the Mirror". These are her comments on the game: “I Am Dolphin” has been carefully crafted to engender greater empathy and awareness of dolphins and whales through motoric engagement. As you interact with the dolphins you begin to feel “at one’ with these magnificent mammals. The realism and visceral quality of the simulation holds the potential to serve as a conservation tool for engaging the public to support global protection of dolphins and whales."
