Plus the Ovenbreak games, though I haven't played those myself.

Did someone say Canabalt?!?!?! lol

You can try Canabalt for free here:
    http://canabalt.com/

If you think it's worth $3, get it. A lot of people like it.

Personally, I would get Run! or Hook Champ. You get more for your dollar.

I personally didn't enjoy run that much to be honest, though I do remember the random saws of death just falling and killing you instantly, maybe thats why....

Anyway, I'll have to look at these ovenbreak games that you speak of.

No, but there's an option to choose between either the original or new saw, or you there's a Custom mode where you can tweak all the preferences.

EA has a lot more pull than Mobi, I'd like to see Tim pick on a mega company like EA.

Biggest third party publisher in the world only second to Activision Blizzard.

"Running With Scissors: Pre-Season" - coming in january pending app store approval (in process right now, first update already mostly done w/ Plus+ support!)

Check this out.. I'm the programmer for this game and I can say it's the best when it comes to running games. Think "Run!" but with actual control, the ability to place many a zany obstacle, and rpg equip elements.

Plus it has scratch n' win at the end of the race :)

That does actually look pretty cool... and unique. Not sure what I think of the graphics though, the color scheme is quite in-your-face.

    Thanks!

I think you'll like it.. it's quite vibrant in action, the screenshots I posted show up with much more contrast than the iphone version displays (especially on auto-contrast adjusting monitors), and that video is super washed out you can see the actual colors popping in near the end (~6:58). We'll be making a nicer one near the release day :)

Hook Champ is NOT a running game. Seriously? You guys all fail because you never noticed that Hook Champ is Bionic Commando! With a a little less violence, but still..

When i say running game, it doesnt mean that the game has to do with a character has to be on the ground.

I mean as your running away from something, with best times ect.

there is no fighting in hookchamp, isnt fighting what you mainly do in bionic commando?
( experiance from xbox live arcade game)

yes, but what everybody remembers and enjoys most from that game, what set it apart from all the other fighting games, was the bionic arm. the hook in Hook Champ works EXACTLY like the bionic arm. It may not have fighting, but there is no doubt in my mind that the hook gameplay was inspired by Bionic Commando.
