It's unclear which exact Amiga (late 1980s / early 1990s computer) games were acquired in a $500,000 purchase but the new rights holder is looking towards smartphone and tablet ports. Amiga Games Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amiga_games Many of the Amiga titles are retained by other parties like Bullfrog (Syndicate!), Psygnosis, The Bitmap Brothers, Rainbird/Firebird, Bullfrog, Titus, Millenium, etc but maybe we'll see some quality retro ports (assuming the title owners include iOS in their arrangements with "best-selling smartphone, tablet, and other device manufacturers"). http://www.engadget.com/2013/07/08/amiga-games-acquired http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2013-07-09-amiga-games-and-the-rights-to-its-300-strong-game-library-bought-for-USD500-000
Nice find. Be interesting to know the games they have. I always thought mostly the big name games were from indies. Frustrating as most old Amiga games are gathering dust
I wonder if today's King of Chicago release is part of this deal and either way how many other Amiga ports are to come.
