This was in the previous version, so im not sure if stuff have been changed. I have downloaded the new one but havent played yet. EDIT: I want to add this... to a line from below: "I guess they found some way to slow down powerlevelling, or force IAP to the grinders" Exact-Psience Well-Known Member Jan 12, 2012 22,664 2 38 The Work-At-Home Guy Philippines #3 Exact-Psience, Apr 21, 2012 At a buck, this game should be worth getting. It's a pretty unique take on the mission-based action-adventure genre. gunxsword Well-Known Member Dec 24, 2010 2,556 0 0 Sydney #4 gunxsword, Apr 21, 2012 Woot! I'm not seeing any smiles! Guess they have removed it in one of the updates . GREAT brawler. Simple controls with a timing based combat system. Your attacks feel powerful and it's really satisfying to fight. metalcasket Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze May 24, 2010 11,064 1,340 113 Deepest Circle, Hel #5 metalcasket, Apr 21, 2012 I'm assuming smiles are different from the "OC" listed in the IAP list? Explanation please? Exact-Psience Well-Known Member Jan 12, 2012 22,664 2 38 The Work-At-Home Guy Philippines #6 Exact-Psience, Apr 21, 2012 I had to see it for myself so i loaded up Brandnew Boy into the 4s. There isnt any Smileys anymore! Unfortunately, the initial bonus was also gone. In the first version it gives you free gold. I think it was around 50,000. Also, a lot of stuff is different. Looks like I will have to spend a lot of time on this one. LOL. gunxsword Well-Known Member Dec 24, 2010 2,556 0 0 Sydney #7 gunxsword, Apr 21, 2012 Yeah that's confusing me too. In the shop screen, a lot of the items are locked behind a level requirement so I'm unable to see their price. The only purpose for OC I can currently confirm is to exchange for coins. Btw the skill bar is now located down the bottom left corner (middle right border of the screen in images). These things should be discussed on the game's main thread now. The game is becoming much more accessible now. goiMot Well-Known Member Oct 21, 2009 5,079 0 0 Physician #12 goiMot, Jun 25, 2012 99c again. Someone from the dev crew posted here saying they were working on a fix. Never happened. awp69 Well-Known Member Oct 30, 2009 8,249 0 36 Greenville, SC #14 awp69, Jun 25, 2012 Yes, I had issues with it too. Seemed like a problem that if you couldn't connect to GC right away, it would get stuck. When I could run it, it's a fun game, but it was a PitA to get going. ninjackid Well-Known Member May 27, 2010 9,380 2 38 #15 ninjackid, Jun 25, 2012 This worth my buck? awp69 Well-Known Member Oct 30, 2009 8,249 0 36 Greenville, SC #16 awp69, Jun 25, 2012 It is if you can get it running... Exact-Psience Well-Known Member Jan 12, 2012 22,664 2 38 The Work-At-Home Guy Philippines #17 Exact-Psience, Jun 25, 2012 Never had any crashes on my 4s, but i had some crashes back in my touch4 days. Still 1 of my favorite action RPGs. Great mechanics that require only timing and tapping for the most part, but requires heavy grinding to get some gold ratings. Even now, i still play the title to grind off a bit until i get what i was aiming for. The grind and the item prices are what's holding this game back from being perfect. Sure each mission only takes about 2 to 3 minutes to grind off, but the shop prices are too high. It's still a great buy at $0.99 as i've enjoyed the title until now when ive paid 4 bucks for it. Exact-Psience Well-Known Member Jan 12, 2012 22,664 2 38 The Work-At-Home Guy Philippines #18 Exact-Psience, Jun 25, 2012 New update out too. It says fixes and bugs at the end of the changelog, so i hope they fixed the GC issues happening for some devices. kioshi Well-Known Member Apr 9, 2011 880 0 0 Brazil #19 kioshi, Jun 25, 2012 I got it now and played 3 stages, and from what I've seen (41 stages, great gfx, nice action, good music) I'd say it's worth it. rezzo Well-Known Member Apr 14, 2012 134 0 16 #20 rezzo, Jun 25, 2012 Great game! never I have had a problem with this game in my iphone 4.
