Alive 4-ever is a zombies-shooting game, with which players have a selection of 4 main characters coming from different backgrounds, trying to rescue hopeless survivors from a small town that was attacked by an unknown deadly virus which turned dead people into zombies.

    FEATURES

IT IS DEFINITELY MORE THAN A SHOOTING GAME

Alive 4-ever provides 30 missions for players, which includes eliminating a given amount of zombies, rescuing survivors in a given time frame, getting vaccines, defeating the big boss – The Origin, etc. Not only can players enjoy the fun of shooting games, but they can also prove themselves to be the real heroes in the story itself!

WHAT ELSE CAN BE MORE FUN THAN A FUN AND EXCITING GAME?

The answer is to be able to play a good game with families and friends. Alive 4-ever uses Bluetooth or Wi-Fi to connect you with your friends and families (up to 4 players) so that completing missions has never been easier!

DEVELOP AND GROW WITH EXPERIENCE TO BECOME THE STRONGEST CHARACTER

Players will be rewarded with experience points after each mission. When enough experience points have been accumulated, the player level will be upgraded with the basic abilities, and at the same time, ability points will be rewarded as well. Ability points can help you with upgrading your selection of HP, maximum bullets, critical hit rate and curing efficiency to create your unique character.

    PREPARE THE GROUND FOR BATTLE

Alive 4-ever has provided players with 16 different types of weapons, which include AK-47, M16 etc. Players can also buy their favorite weapons with the gold they get after each mission. You would have to get the strongest weapon fast enough to save all the survivors!

    CHALLENGE THE STRONGEST

Being able to finish the mission already proves you are an outstanding warrior, but to be the Best of the Best, you would need to challenge the even stronger! Alive 4-ever not only has the basic level passing requirements, but also challenging conditions so the player will be rewarded with special equipments after the challenge. Hurry up and own all of the special equipments!

I'm very surprised no one has commented on this sale, both are worth picking up.

Perhaps most of the interested gamers have already played them and have lost some of their initial appeal for them. Newer gamers might be looking for more impressive graphics with true depth and tridimensional rendering.

Even though they don't look as "fresh" in 2011, I still feel they are, especially Returns, some of the best twin-stick action for iOS that money can buy. Meridian made some substantial efforts to bring some depth to the series.

Oh, not even close! I'm an especially slow gamer, the kind who likes to take it easy and make it last a while. Definitely not a high-score chaser. Plus, I'm not very good at A4E-R. Keep getting overrun by them pesky zombies. :D

Not too familiar with BloodnGuns. From gameplay videos I infer that it's an arena shooter with a gallery of undead villains and a generous amount of blood.

Alive 4-Ever + Returns are mission based games with levels filled with some obstacles, items to recover and sometimes rescue missions to find and escort a vulnerable individual. There is an rpg-like stat and leveling system with a market to acquire more weapons. There is also a survival mode in Returns, not sure for the original.

    Thanks Ghouls,
I found out Returns has a free version too but your summary nailed it. Very similar to BloodnGuns except BnG is just an endless 'how long can you last' and A4E has missions. If I grab Returns do I need the first one as well?

Alive4ever is one of the best games on the AppStore also the best zombie shoot em up there is. It may be old now but definitely worth getting. I hope there will be a third game with Retina graphics and GameCenter for scores and achievements

Yes, this is 2011. When I say "in 2011", I mean it as "today". If you are a time traveler, I understand your initial confusion.

I must admit not having bothered to even try the original A4E. From what I can deduce, the sequel is better in every way. You need not to download it to enjoy "Returns".

    :D

For the benefit of us time travelers, and folks who like remember last year, you might want to say today when you mean today. Being specific helps us idjits avoid getting confused and making stupid comments. ;)

Both. It's a great DSS series in any case. I'd grab the second one if you don't own either of the games to anyone out there.

A4E Returns is the second one right?

I don't own either... so if I buy either I'll probably get Returns... Do they have co-op Endless survival? or just for missions?
