A girl - although it's first person so you never really see yourself (except in the cut scenes). You're a princess who's just awakened from a hundred years' slumber, but as you explore the castle and solve its many puzzles, you kinda forget your gender after awhile. Lots of boys and grown men have played this game and have enjoyed it.

Just been burned lately by an adventure game where you're happily solving puzzles without being referred to as any particular gender, only to be "rewarded" with a girl at the end? Like girls are trophies, and I was a guy all along, apparently interested in some random girl? Now I have to check these things before I buy >.>
