“Meet” is a Roguelike game produced by Solin Games. The game gives priority to action and shooting gameplay and the player will also play the role of a little girl and an adult at the same time.

In the daytime, the Lolita eludes the monsters to collect stars and put them into the wishing bottle. At night, the adult gets weapons from the bottle and protect the Lolita by attacking the monsters.
The player will experience two different ways of play during the switch of day and night. And the combination of these two ways of play will make the game interaction much richer as each other’s behavior constantly affect each other.

    Features:
    1. Origami style fully reflect the childhood pleasures and humor.
    2. Randomly generated maps of the four seasons, make the game more randomly and replayability.
    3. Achieve different weapons and equipment enjoy different combat routines.
    4. Randomly selected the skills, different skill sets make the fight more changeable and interesting.
    5. Two very different ways of play interacted on each other make the player experience different time axis of interactive play.

A petite figure is always deep in the memory of the adult, he needs to found the “her” that he stepped on his journey.
The Lolita is being in the adult’s side but he couldn’t see her. What she can do is try to help the adult.
Although they’ve never met before, they are linked together tightly. Can they meet in the end? It’s up to you to decide.

What we want to explore from this game is “Game Language”. The game divides into two stages. One phase is the little girl escaped monsters looking for the stars. Another phase is the big uncle used weapons to attack the monster. In the game, the players will act two roles and interact with themselves. When you act as a big uncle, you will feel the interaction and the changes from the little girl’s behavior 30 seconds ago. Her moving location will illuminate an area; the wishing bottles opened by her will bring you items and helps. The interaction is not produced by words or by language. And this is what we think the most powerful charm from the game, thus, we produce such exploratory mobile game.
Due to some experiments and some exploration, we met many problems during development process. In order to make this idea to carry out, we did a lot of iterations.
    Here is our first demo:
    <iframe width="420" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/8YxhZ5QNx1w" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
This demo was made more than a year ago. At that time, we basically completed the basic moving logic of the little girl and the recording logic of the big uncle following the little girl. From this demo, we found that only move and follow is not funny.
Then, we produced our second demo:
    <iframe width="420" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/czD3nnpWXw0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Based on the basic moving, we added shooting logic of the big uncle. At this time, the stage of the big uncle became a topdown perspective shooting game. The gameplay of the big uncle began to take shape and there are too many Top-Down perspective shooting games for reference.
And we go to our third demo:
    <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/u0ORN_Fh5fg" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
From above two basic processes, we found that "the language of the game" is not enough. I mean the interaction between the two roles is too weak. So we have adopted a game model of cooperation. The little girl act as an explorer, can put some survey to find where are the stars, and to mark where there is a star. When the big uncle moves follow the little girl, he will excavate the stars according to the little girl's marks.
Of course, these three demos are not the final of our game, but the demos played a very important role of completing the “MEET”. The final interaction of “MEET” is shown as below:

Don't know whether these development processes make you feel a little boring.
All right, let me introduce our team.
We are from a small game development studio which located in Shanghai, China. We established in May 2014. We have developed a online mobile game before, but not very successful. “MEET” is our second product. Our founders, including me, were working in Tencent, Shanghai for many years. We expect to create some different kinds of games that we hived off from Tencent and established the game studio named “Solin Games”.

Look forward to your reply with thanks.
