For those of you that recognize the name and company - yes, 'The Day I Tried...' has not been forgotten and is still in development. Creatively I needed to scratch an itch (so to speak) that I've had for a while. I wanted to go back to a puzzle game I developed on the Nintendo DS back in 2006. This game was called Konductra. It was a tile matching game with an overly complicated mechanism. Some people loved it and unfortunately most people didn't. Over the years I've often thought of ways that I could have improved the gameplay and I finally got around to trying and testing those ideas. The result is Konductra: Graveyard Shift. It's a new puzzle game for iOS 6.0+ that is in testing right now and it will be available soon! More information and movies will be available later. For now here is a screen shot to check out.
No. Triple town is turn based and works on grouping three of a kind to make a new tile. Konductra is a tile matching puzzle game combined with a tower defense game. In Konductra you match tiles to create long chains and then by connecting them to the center lightning cloud you can destroy them making way for new tiles. Enemies approach from the boards edges and fly towards the center cloud. When they reach the center they attack it decreasing your health. When a tile is destroyed it damages any enemy that occupies that space. Tiles themselves can "block" enemies; slowing them down giving you additional time to connect chains and destroy them. Thus, tile placement has a strategic element as well as a puzzle element. Hope that helps and let me know if you have any further questions.
Konductra: Graveyard Shift - Skull Attack! Game tiles affect the flying creatures in different ways. Some block giving you a moment to think, however others have unpleasant effects. In this screen shot you can see the skulls multiply when they touch a skull game tile.
Thanks. The game has been submitted to Apple for review. If everything goes well I'll be looking at a release date in the next 10 - 15 days.
You're welcome. The game has been submitted to Apple for review. So I'm hoping it will be on the App Store within the next week.
