SKULL SMASHER is a casual, heavy metal, match-three puzzle game for the iPad®. Tap to smash groups of demonic skulls while trying to stay alive! Unending levels send you deeper and deeper into the abyss, crushing the skulls of your enemies as you go, sheltered by the protective ring of the pentagram. If the skulls break out of the ring, your living blood will be will be drawn from you making the demon spawn ever stronger! I'd expect nothing less from these guys. I love their art/music! Dangit, now I'm gonna have music from Imp or Oaf stuck in my head for a bit...
Don't worry, chances are it will come out on iPhone too. We're just focusing on the iPad version first The gameplay involves tapping groups of like skulls to smash them. Bosses (much larger skulls) have a circular health meter and receive 'proximity damage' for matches that touch them. The game is set in a physics engine, gravity is centered in the middle of a circle and new skulls come in from the sides, clunking into place against the other skulls into a roughly circular shape (that turns and reacts to other skulls that hit it). There are quite a few elements that add depth to the game: power-ups, player health, leveling, a disturbing story. Our focus is on making something beautiful and fun to play...but creepy. It's going to be one in a series of games we're producing that are kind of like little 'pulp novellas': bite sized, polished and addictive.
