I have a feeling this thread belongs in the lounge (for irrelevance to ios gaming). Oh well... FF10 was a rather emotive experience! I must be one of the few that didn't really like ff7.
I know there has been some backlash against those who say that Final Fantasy VII is "the best ever". But, in all honestly, I still do find that to be the best IMO with a good story and a step up in gameplay from the earlier ones. All the ones since them, again IMO, have failed to reproduce that epic feeling. Too many new elements and unnecessary complexity, murky storylines. Final Fantasy VI hit it on the mark. BTW: I agree that this and the other thread (Final Fantasy XIII-3) both belong in the "lounge" forum.
For me it was without a doubt Final Fantasy X. No game has ever came close to touching me the same way. Perhaps it's as much nostalgia now as it was the emotive plot but even now whenever I hear the To Zanarkand song I get goosebumps and a bitter sweet memory of how great the game was and how sad the song makes me feel. In truth I doubt any game will ever come close to matching how much Final Fantasy X has both affected me and stuck with me. As crazy as it is I am sure in 10, 20 or even 30 years time I will still remember the game and it's hauntingly beautiful theme song I mentioned earlier.
I've played 7-10. 9 and 10 were the only ones I actually finished, with 10 being my favorite of the bunch. I didn't really care for 8 at all. 7 was really good, but I lost one of the discs and when I finally got found it I had no idea what I needed to do and didn't feel like starting over, so just moved on.
I'm pretty sure with my entire time here at TA, i've answered this question like 4 times already. Oh well. FFX and FFVII are my favs, with shout outs to Tactics and (dare i say it Tactics Advance)
The best one was 10,7, 9 and I loved crisis core for psp for me i like to play this game this is very good and great for time pass
