    If you shake the iPod at a 45 degree angle 17 1/2 times, a sexy, female British voice will read "Goodnight, Moon" to you in pig latin.

    That's what I was doing wrong - I was holding it at a 65º angle. No wonder it wasn't working.

    No no.. you all got it wrong. It's a 79.3 degree angle for the sexy, brittish lady, but 45 for the Aussie accent.

    WTF are you guys babbling about, stop confusing him.

    The truth is, you just tilt it 45 deg to the left and shake it a couple of times, flip it over (screen away from you) then shake it a couple of times to get the woman's voice to playback. You have to do the flip fast enough, else it resets.

    Don't listen to those idiots with what 65 or 79.3 deg, that's pure bull.

    It stands to reason that to unlock the Aussie accent you simply hold the iPhone upside down.
