    Hi there,

I'm new in these parts and thought I'd take a break from my mundane schedule to show you a clip from a pre-release version of my retro inspired shmup "Max Vector : Resolution". Max will be hitting the App Store shortly ;-)

    Thanks for that ;)

My first attempt at an iPhone game so I went simple. Plays really well though and I thought it was the perfect thing to do, being such a retro fan!

The game is loaded with power ups, epic boss battles, sprite scaling and rotation (which isn't THAT retro - lol).

Now I just need to polish it up a little, add the scoring system and submit!

    Go, go retro!

I love retro games, and I've had the opportunity to test this.

    Great fun, believe me!

This is a little bit 'to grey'.

Other than that really nice Game and Soundtrack. Looking forward to how the final game will be! :)

Too grey? I guess most of the ships are grey... which I assumed space ships would be... lol. Maybe I should through in some fuchsia? :p

You planning on giving any credit for the music, since I remember hearing it from Rob Hubbard on my C64, back in 1987?

The music is by 8 Bit Weapon.... as the logo says at the start... some of it was taken from abandonware, I believe (pretty sure it's all original 8 Bit Weapon stuff, though... no Rob Hubbard)... they have all the rights to it and I've been cleared by them to use these tracks in the game... apart from the title one, which has been changed as I don't have copyright clearance for that. That the track you're talking about?

Oops! My mistake, that version of the video doesn't have the 8 Bit Weapon logo at the beginning... they are bloody awesome!

you obviously missed the psychedelic color schemes of the real 8 bit era. ;)
