Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel I think this gameplay is a coc + red alert inspired game. The gameplay is good and so far I am loving it. It also has a multiplayer feature and offers IAP purchase. No lag or other technical issues I experienced so far.
Cannot tell you how sick I am of this over-melodramatic bullcrap. They made two nearly identical Fieldrunners and they're taking on another popular genre for the third one. Not your thing? Fine. In other news, FF IX is coming out soon. If that's the App Store falling, I want to go down with it.
Offline I've been waiting patiently for this one in the UK. It turns out that the game has been offline and withdrawn from iTunes since 12th Feb (a week now). For anyone who actually got to play this, what did you think? It looked like a Fieldrunners take on Boom Beach, I'm just wondering if it had any depth to it.
Yeah it was great and his it's own interesting take on the genre. Plus great graphics and ample humor. Troops were controlled in battle by squads which was cool. You could send your tanks to a key location and have other troops pick off from the sides. Full control over your troops in battle at any time. Another interesting element was the power stations. All of your defenses required power to work, so the had to be within the "ring" of a power station. This made battles really tactical. Do you just force your way in and hopefully take out the headquarters? Or take time maneuvering your troops to take out the power stations first, rendering their defenses useless. Resources were also harvested from nodes, like forests or rocky areas, rather than just plopping down a "gold harvester" anywhere you like. So you had to adjust your base design for the terrain. Wall placement wasn't just straight lines, which made this task easier. Graphics were top notch. Why did they remove it?
Looks like this is now officially cancelled. After months of silence, the official Facebook page is gone. Probably for the best. The freemium Fieldrunners game that never quite made it out of the gate.
This game is still alive, it's under a new app link and published by Subatomic themselves rather than Flaregames. Updated the first post with the new link.
