Need For Speed: The Run (Cancelled)

I watched some gameplay vids on Youtube of this game and it sure looks good. I don't think the ios will be as awesome as the ps3, but it will definitely be worth getting for my ipad or iphone.

 

No worries, Gonna play the game for the first time on my PS3 tonight so was looking at vids and randomly found it.

Hopefully the iOS version runs a good graphics engine that although the limits with iOS is similar to Frostbite 2.

Graphics look good if they are of the iOS version,the car physics put me off a little though.

 

awesome but for me NFS Most Wanted is the best of NFS series.....i hope someday i can play Most Wanted in my idevices...

Well playing this one on console and I can tell you that it's really good. Don't know if they plan to change the games story line etc. Hopefully it will be the same with just lower graphics etc.

 

Nice to have some news about the game ^^ I'm curious to see if the online features on Origin are only leaderboards or if we'll have a true multiplayer mode.
I hope the shortcuts are bigger this time

 

The shortcuts in this version are pretty good. I have played about 1 hour of the game on console and have probably seen about on average 2 shortcuts per race. So hopefully they will be in the iOS version of the app.

 

So, we can wish they won't cut the shortcuts on iOS

I'm liking the look of it a lot, engine has really stepped up since shift 2, and arcade racing is always more fun than sim imo.

 

I wonder if it includes the portion of the game where the player runs out of his car in those interactive cutscenes.

Wow that sucks big time ..

How bad could it have possibly been that they had to cancel it .

Shift 2 was terrible compared to the first one and they should have cancelled that one instead.

 

So are we finally getting freemium NFS game? Awesome.

 

That's exactly what I was thinking. They cancelled it to focus on freemium-only titles. Grrreat...

 

The freemium stuff is absolutely terrible on so many levels..

All that IAP stuff is a joke and id rather pay a premium up front to a solid quality title instead of them trying to nickel and dime me to death .
